Simply Brilliant

Jenny and Steve should be immensely proud of what they have achieved here. Quite simply the best CL we have had the pleasure to attend. Lots of space on pitches which are typically mowed by Jenny within minutes of any departure. The facilities of shower, toilet and laundry are immaculately maintained with hot water always on tap. What a gem!!

Lovely CL with very accomodating owner

Spacious CL with well kept facilities. Lovely field with great view though a bit soggy if been lots of downpours. Owners really friendly and accommodating. The shower and washing machine work on a token system (80p for a token got a very adequate 7 mins in the shower). We will visit again if in the area.

Great CL

2018 and time for our return visit to check up on our favourite camp site, Dunree owned and run by Jenny and Steve. I drove down with the van and 3 doggies from Aberdeen arriving on 19th July with my wife following down by plane on the 21st. We stayed for 18 days returning home the same way. Fortunately for us, this years weather was kind to us the majority of our stay. Allowing for glorious sunny coastal walks with the dogs to nearby towns of Port Issac, Tintagel, Trbarwith for a refreshing cider or two and then back. Our favourite beach was but 30mins walk from the van called Tregardock beach which is popular with the local surfers. Watch out for the tides though!! Since last year Steve and Jenny had indeed been very busy with the site making some great improvements amongst many, widening the road entrance, gravelling the opening to the park area, lots of pretty flower beds and general maintenance. It was a real pleasure to be at Dunree, these people are naturally so friendly and helpful. I had a wee issue with my stabiliser, Steve lent me some tools to resolve the problem. We just love coming down to this site, I thoroughly recommend a visit to everyone. Great pasties in Tintagel and fantastic lobster and crab from Port Issac. Not to be missed.

Lovely two days

We spent a lovely couple of days here. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The pitches were large and we were able to chose where we set up. They should be justifiably proud of what they have achieved in a short space of time. The area had so much to do , all within easy access of the site. Our 10 month old puppy was welcomed, he made friends with the owners dogs! We hope to return in the future.

Our second stay at this lovely site. Peaceful site new owners are friendly and welcoming. Brilliantly located for North Cornwall Coast. Recommend the pub in St Teath. New owners busy making improvements - this is becoming a regular stopover. Simple, clean and friendly with stunning views

Lovely Site

I stayed a couple of times during a week long tour of the North Cornwall coast in January. Jenny and Steve were so welcoming on the way down, I stopped by again on the way back. The site was clean and tidy, with good facilities. I will definitely return.

2 days in September

Very enjoyable stay in September. Spacious, well kept and clean. Recommend Trebarwith Strand but don't go via Trebarwith village - very narrow roads! The road outside is surprisingly busy - and dog walking around the site is all on the lead. So much to see round this area so will certainly be back.

What a great place to visit.

Having read previous reviews I was unsure what to expect in terms of the number of vans. I should not have had those doubts. This site is generous in size and the welcome was warm. All of the facilities are clean and well presented, and the grass was short. While gently sloping it was easy to get the motorhome level with our ramps. There are great views across open country side and the site is perfectly placed to visit anything between Bude and Newquay and over to the south coast. I would recommend the Port William Inn at Trebarwith Strand for an evening meal. Do not forget to take you camera for great pictures towards Gull Rock, particularly in the evening. I will assuredly stay here again when next in Cornwall. I noted that a "For Sale" board was up outside the house so I am unsure if it will still be operating, time will tell.
