Beautiful Views

I can only echo the comments and observations of what a lovely CL this is. One where Richard has really thought and planned the site to offer a lovely experience in a beautiful, quiet location. Ideally based for some great walking including St Catherines and the Coastal Path. We were also impressed with both nearby villages, Niton in particular, which has a lovely community feel. The Village post office and its recently acquired licensing project is well worth a visit for a pint of local ale. Will definitely be back and give as a top recommendation.

beautiful location

We were lucky in being the first customers of this new CL near the village of Niton with large grocery shop and pubs. but we were told by the friendly owners of a twenty minute walk, for us and the dog across the fields, to the village of Whitwell and the oldest pub on the Island with good beer and pub grub. Tranquil site with wonderful views, would certainly go back again.

A new site in a quiet rural setting

Downsview has clearly been well-planned by its friendly owners Richard and Beryl. Access from the road and the site itself are on a gentle slope. The good-sized pitches are level areas of gravel with plenty of space between them and separated by well-maintained grass. Each pitch is supplied with water and electricity. Along with the usual facilities there is a drive-over grey waste water disposal point for motorhomes. The adjacent countryside is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The views over the downs are wonderful and there are plenty of footpaths on your doorstep. Only one mile south of the site is the picturesque village of Niton, which has a surprisingly large supermarket, chemists, pub, post-office, café, pottery and library. Also close by is Whitwell, which has a pub and a garage/petrol station. If you appreciate peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, Downsview is a great place to stay.
