1st Class CL

This is a great place to stay it really is 1st class. We only live a few miles away but will make this site a regular visit on our calendar. A very warm welcome from Roger the owner and we also meet some great people also staying there. This site is a great place to see what North Norfolk has to offer.

Absolutely the best

We thought we'd found the best ever CL until we came here! What a gem. All the comments above are spot on, can't really add much except to say that the local no 9 bus stops outside the gate on request with regular access to Holt and on to Cromer in one direction and Fakenham with connections to Norwich and Kings Lynn in the other. You can leave your car on the site and let your bus pass take the strain!

Manicured site with serviced pitches

What a beautiful garden site! The lawns are manicured, even down the edging next the hardstandings. Every pitch is level and serviced. We extended our stay here because it was so peaceful and pleasant. There is an adjacent lane with a few more cars than might be expected for its size, but it wasn't a problem. Good access to the pretty town of Holt and the north Norfolk coast with all its attractions. The owners were away when we visited and the site was in the charge of their daughter. The welcome was probably not the one they would have offered - we had to seek her out to pay - but there was a welcome sign on the pitch. Although there wasn't a toilet or shower, which one might expect for £15 a night, it was worth an extra pound or two for the care taken of the grounds. Would definitely go back to this CL.

Superb little site

We stayed at this site the last week of August 2015. The owners were on site on our arrival to direct us to our pitch and show us where everything was.  It as a beautiful little site set amongst grass and small trees and shrubs, with hard standing for all homes.  Each pitch has its own water and grey waste disposal and the toilet emptying area was discreetly surrounded by small bushes.  Mr & Mrs Doy were very helpful and made sure that all visitors were happy during their stay.  The site is within easy reach of Holt.  We walked along a fairly quiet road which took us to the edge of the town and took about 30 minutes.  We also cycled there and that took 10 to 15 minutes. From there you can easily catch the buses to the Norfolk coast, including, Wells, Sheringham and Cromer.  There are also some nice walks from the site through the nearby woods. Mr Doy gave us details of these and they were easy to follow.  There are numerous pubs and eating places within easy reach of the site. It is a lovely spot to which we will return.

Beautiful Site

Stayed here for a second time very recently. Site is excellent, in lovely surroundings, owners very friendly but not intrusive.  Pitches are all hard standing and well equipped, water, waste and TV aerial supplied. Located so that its easy to access Holt, Sheringham and Cromer. Nice walks from the site too. Will definitely return.

5* Gem

Just spent 4 nights at this immaculate CL. This site was very well maintained, the owners were friendly without being pushy, we had plenty of space to relax in peace, water electricity and waste to every pitch. The nearby town of Holt had everything we needed and so much more. We agreed with previous comments about the road noise, but everything else was so, so nice and we must have been lucky because it didn't wake us up. Will be returning on a regular basis

Great site, great location

Our first visit to this beautiful site, first impressions are of a very well maintained, well thought out site. Electric, water, waste and hard standing (gravel) to all pitches, easy to access with plenty of space between vans. Whole site was immaculate and we had a very enjoyable stay.  Only one small down side for us was the traffic noise from the road on occasions not constant at all but did wake us a couple of times overnight. That said we will definitely be back as the site is excellent and the location superb with Holt a mile away and the coast another three plus a large Budgens which was extremely well stocked.

Beautiful CL

We have just spent two weeks on this beautiful CL site.  We have a large van, but it was easy to access the site - just remember not to go beyond the site entrance gate, otherwise you will have to reverse down the drive.  Our pitch was allocated to us, so none of the 'get there early to get the best spot' business here!  All the pitches are spacious and you can be as private or as sociable as you like.  While we were there the site was maybe not at its best because of building work at the owners' house, but we had been warned about that when we booked, and to be honest it didn't impinge on our enjoyment of this excellent site at all.  The lovely little town of Holt is only a mile away - shame there isn't a footpath along the road to make a nice walk.  There is a lovely walk across fields and through woodland though, to the Hunny Bell which is in the next village - less than a mile away as the crow flies, but better via this lovely walk.  It's well worth a visit for good food and drink.  The birds on site are a joy, the facilities at each pitch make life easy for caravanners and there are so many places to visit without having to drive for miles - Wells, Cley, Blakeney, Sherringham, Cromer etc on the coast, and numerous stately homes, priories, farm shops etc inland.  We'll certainly be back - and will hopefully have some more of that sunny Norfolk weather!
