WOW What a site

WOW What a site, this is by far the BEST CL site we’ve stayed on, the site is immaculate with very well kept lawns and trees. All pitches are very large and fully serviced. Roger was very help full on the first night, we had difficulties with our water pump, no problem for Roger who after trying different option he got us going with one of his. We will be returning very soon. Thank you Roger and Marjorie

A high-end CL

We stayed for fourteen nights in the latter half of April. This I was our third visit here, and not without good reason. Apart from the high standard of the site, we particularly like the geographical placement, just enough inland to be away from the main coastal tourist throng! It’s close to Holt, which is a bustling town with quality shops, although some of them are at the expensive end of the scale. We visited Cley, Titchwell and Sculthorpe nature reserves and Blickling NT amongst other places. The pitches are large and fully serviced with 16A metered electric, charged at cost. The metering is new. However, the pitch price has been reduced, and for us this led to a small saving against the pre-metered pitch price. Our average daily electricity cost was £4.45 across the 14 nights (two birth 460 size van, with some cool days and nights, heating used each day at some point). Although our van is at the smaller end of the scale, the pitches are large enough for much larger outfits, although a mover will be required (or very strong arms!). There is little reversing space and driving on the lawned grass is quite rightly not permitted. This is an absolutely lovely site, extremely well looked after and Roger and Marjorie are only too happy to help if needed. Graham and Jo from Nottingham.

A gem of a site

We stayed at this beautiful CL for 3 nights on 13th April as a trial run for our outings for this year, as we only live 45 mins away. We certainly weren't disappointed. Roger and Marjory were on holiday in their caravan and Sally, their daughter, was looking after the site. When we first got there we were struck with how beautifully manicured the lawns were and how neat, clean and tidy it was. There was a chalk board with our names on welcoming us, which was a first and a lovely touch. We straight away felt comfortable. The pitches are a really good size, a CL is definitely the way to go due to the space and fewer caravans, there were horses in an adjacent field. The signal for wifi is not good at all, you can purchase it through the Caravan Club if you want to. We didn't. A TV aerial lead is supplied which we used and also a hose pipe to couple your water to the caravan. Lovely touches. The pitches are metered which I was a bit concerned about however including the electricity our stay was £70.10 which was very reasonable. I don't blame Roger and Marjory for taking this stance at all especially with todays economics. We had a lovely stay and went to Blakeney, Sheringham, Holt and Blickling Hall which was lovely. We will definitely be back this year especially as it's so close and North Norfolk has so much to offer, something you don't generally take advantage of living here. One suggestion, it would be good if a viewing mirror could be looked at as it was a little awkward looking down the road when leaving, to view oncoming vehicles. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay and all your hard work in keeping the site so beautiful.

The best CL in Norfolk

My wife and I arrived at this CL on Tuesday 14th of March to stay for 8 days. Right from the very start we started to have numerous problems with our caravan. First of all our electric cable woulld`nt work. Then our water pump went wrong and flooded our toilet compartment out.Roger the site owner, lent us a new cable, the he took our water tap off and proceded to repair it. We needed a new tap whihch we purcased from a local shop.Roger fitted it for us.( many thanks to him). Finally upon leaving, our caravan motor-mover ceased to work. Imagine two eighty-year old folks man-handling our caravan around in order to hitch it on to our car. However, although we had visited this site five years ago, nothing had changed .It still has individual pitches , each with their own water point, and waste pipe. The site is very handy for touring the North Norfolk area. Nothing was to much trouble for Mr. & Mrs. Doy, the were excellent hosts. Will we return? certainly if we can get in. Good Sized Pitches

We stayed on the site over Christmas & New Year, it was easy to find the site is gated but enough room to be off the road while opening the gate. The site was been looked after by the owners daughter as the owners were on holiday so there was no one there to show us our pitch, but noticed there were boards on the pitches with names of arrivals there is gravelled trackway to get to the good sized pitches. Signs were on the grass asking you to avoid going onto it & asked you to use motor movers to get onto your pitch. We have a twin axle caravan but only mover on front wheels as we mainly reverse onto to a pitch so the mover is hardly used, but as we respected the owners notice to keep off the grass we found it very difficult to get pitch we were allocated pitch 5, it took us a long time to manoeuvre with lots of going backwards & forwards. There is plenty of room for caravan, awning & vehicle on the pitch, each pitch has water, waste water drain, also there it a TV hookup lead to use as poor signal, site is quite sheltered & well maintained. The owners daughter came to see us later that afternoon to welcome us telling us how to contact her should we need anything. That part of Norfolk is very nice Holt, Sheringham & Wells Next The Sea all worth a visit. We would use this site again if the pitch was easier to get on, if you had a small unit well worth going to from the 1st January it was going onto metered electric but the nightly fee was been reduced.

It's a Cracker!

If I could give it 10 ticks, I would. A super site and the best we have stayed on, well laid out in a beautiful garden. Plenty of room on each pitch with all services laid on. Roger and Marjorie are very welcoming and pleased to help if needed. Looking forward to next year for our return.

First Norfolk Trip

What a cracking site. Lovely roomy hard standing pitches with all services. We loved the location to the north coast and surrounding area You wont be disappointed if you go there and the hosts should be proud of the facility they run. Thanks for a great visit

Peaceful stay

Lovely few days in our motorhome on this site. Very friendly and helpful welcome. Local bus service is good and cycling in the area good as well. Definitely the best CL we have ever stayed on.

What a little Gem!

What a wonderful little gem of a site. An immaculate oasis. We stayed for 2 nights in March 2022. Unfortunately had to attend a funeral in the village. We arrived to find our names on our pitch the owner Roger waiting to greet us. Huge fully serviced hard standing pitch. Very quiet but only a mile from bustling Holt. Would thoroughly recommend it and if we come back to the area would definitely stay again
