On my way to Heathrow

Due to a late departure from home we did not arrive until after 8.00pm and it was pitch black. Eventually, using the headlights we got ourselves sorted. Ted was kind enough to give me a call to see if we were all OK [much appreciated]. Opened the door after a good night sleep and the view was stunning. Mist in the valley below and the sun rising over the trees. Once I had dropped my daughter off at Heathrow and came back to the van-met Ted. What a really nice guy. Thank you for your hospitality and well done on setting up a brill CL

great walking

The best views we have had from a cl, and several very good walks straight from the site, Jackie and Ted were great hosts, and when our jockey wheel clamp handle broke they bent over backwards to help, eventually rummaging through the shed to find a suitable bolt to get us home! A great stay for the whole family, plus the dog!

Superb Scenery.

We recently stayed at this site and although you will need levelling blocks this site is well worth it. The site has wonderful views over open countryside and the site of Red kites flying above is amazing. The owners are helpful but not intrusive and their are a numbers of dogs walks directly from the site,In our opinion the perfect make up for a Cl. Will be visiting again soon.

First Class CL

We stayed at Cholsey Grange for five nights in early August 2014.  This was our second visit to this excellent site and we were welcomed like old friends by Ted and Jackie.  Since our last stay Ted has moved the water taps so they are even easier to access (I did not find it a problem previously but gather others did).   Ted and Jackie provide an information pack and they are always ready to helpfully pass on their local knowledge.   The site benefits from stunning views and there are walks direct from the site that take you in all directions.  The walking in this area is varied and there is always something interesting to see around the corner.  A very dog friendly site. The local pub ‘The Fox’ is only a few minutes walk away and is well maintained serving good ale with the added bonus of free wifi and it is dog friendly. We did not eat there so cannot comment on the quality of the food. We are already making plans for another stay at Cholsey Grange next year.   You can see our walks from the site on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.c

Escape

We called at Cholsey for one night on our return journey from the Netherlands. We were so taken with the lovely rural setting with a magnificent view from the caravan together with the resident barn owl, we booked a pitch for a week in June. As a keen amateur photographer I was keen to return to take more photos of the visiting Red Kites. All this and a wealth of local villages including Henley on Thames made our stay very enjoyable. Our stay was enhanced by a warm friendly welcome and a wealth of information supplied by Jackie and Ted, thank you both for creating this wonderful escape from reality.

Everything you could wish for in a CL

We came expecting a nice site. But Cholsey Grange way surpassed our expectations. The site and location is absolutely stunning. We will definitely be back. Everything is really well thought out. And Ted the owner was really helpful and accommodating. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary so we were delighted to have such a wonderful experience.

A great CL

We had a 4 night stay at easter here before moving onto a rally, but really wanted to stay longer. We loved this site, the views are amazing and we walked for hours along the paths in the Chilterns that lead from the site. We have 2 small children and they did not want to leave. Very handy for the M40 but not so close that causes noise problems and handy for Wycombe and the lovely villages that are in the Chilterns. We will definately be going back.

A gem of a CL site

This is our second visit here and we cannot fault the site. Water and electric are close by and the views are excellent especially with the bonus of large red kite birds giving aerobatic displays within a few yards of the caravan. Ted and Jackie make every effort to look after their visiting caravanners and we can only concur with the comments of the other 5 star reviews. There are some fabulous walks in this area if you like walking and the country pubs are brilliant. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely friendly site

Exceptionally friendly owners who provided a very good information leaflet and obviously work very hard to provided the best possible facilities for their customers. The slope is an issue, but we managed in a 5 ton 26ft motorhome and was reassured by Ted that he would be able to tow us out with his tractor if we got stuck! Despite the wild, wet night, we managed without the tow! Not the easiest of sites for larger motorhomes, but well worth the effort.

Simply the best

It is such a shame Richard12 didn't enjoy their stay here but I concure with Hectorcharlie, I'm on site today 12/09 and although I'm heading off to Cornwall Friday I have to say I don't want to leave. I have a large van and didn't find it a problem at all getting in, just take it easy and you will be fine. Water taps are available on the field and more than one too, I have had a spine op and my aqua roll was in control at all times. Yes as advertised the site is on a slope, Ted & Jackie provide extra levelling blocks for your convenience, it is because it is on a slope that gives you the stunning views, pitching was not a problem for me. Chemical waste point is a short walk between the gorgeous horses in the paddocks to the outbuildings, I personally prefer them to be out of site. Bess the collie is simply gorgeous, my only complaint is that I'm not allowed to kiss and cuddle her as Ted points out she is a working dog, as a non dog owning dog lover I find that hard but I do comply, haha This CL is the perfect get away, easy to find and negotiate, the area surrounding it is simply stunning, lots to do and see, Ted and Jackie work very hard to ensure you have everything you need and cared for. I found the site good value, I will certainly back for a third visit, I hope Richard12 comes back too, I don't like being regimented by club sites, Cholsey Grange is everything a CL should be and more, it pains me to give such a glowing review as I want to be able to get in in future. Thank you Ted and Jackie
