Hi everyone. A tweet from Kirsty at Morrisons confirms that they are on board with Safefill. Filling is now allowed at all their sites. Show the cylinder to the cashier and away you go. This is great news for those who use gas and want to save money.

Congratulations to Safefill for your dogged determination to bring this product to market against overwhelming odds! The first crack has appeared in the dam! Thanks to all those who wrote to Morrison’s to ask why they couldn’t fill and thanks to Morrison’s for approaching this with an open and enquiring mind to cut through the rumours lies and propaganda surrounding this exceptional product. It is a better world today for the LPG user.

Merve, you have been promoting Safefill on CT for many months if not years to the exclusion of other similar products.  You have been able to get away with it because it has been part of the “Thrive” thread mix.  However, IMO this thread is not simply about Morrisons filling these cylinders but blatant promotion of the Safefill product and company to the exclusion of others.  You also seem to be doing your best to suggest that other similar products will not be filled by Morrisons and have avoided my warnings about the difficulty of getting the cylinders filled abroad.  As far as I’m aware CT is not here as a free advertising medium.  I would not want anyone to be deprived of good advice but equally I don’t want to see them led to believe that there is no choice and that there are no drawbacks.

DD, for goodness sake. I can’t stop you thinking what you like. This thread is about survival off grid and LPG is an important part of that. I’m not promoting Safefill- it’s the one I know best about that’s all! The fact is that Safefill(and others apparently) have had a hell of a fight to bring their cylinders to market. We all know who might have given them a fight don’t we? The fact that the little guy has done a David and Goliath should be welcomed and praised. Please feel free to ‘promote’ other makes - that is your prerogative but please don’t head butt me for bringing very good news to the forum. I neither ask for it or expect it! I am a Safefill user as are now thousands of caravaners and I’m sure they are very grateful. It may be that these other makes have passed all that Morrisons ask of them  but I doubt it- and indeed some of them may be allowed to fill up on Autogas sites but I haven’t heard of anything and I haven’t noticed anything on the forum so I’m a little confused at your zealous promotion of other makes that I don’t know about or anyone else for that matter. Please, I would like to know the name of these makes and all the progress they have made- but it seems strange that way back in 2012 it was Safefill that sent shockwaves through the LPG industry on the continent and in this country when they introduced their valve.  THEIR VALVE! As far as filling on the continent is concerned, one thing at a time eh? But I understand that with the adapters Safefills can be filled without problems on the continent and yes, I’m sure the other can as well!!

As gas cylinders are "pressure vessels?"how do fill yourself  get tested?

I’m no expert but Merve seems upfront in His backing of this company purely to help fellow LV’ers on & off grid. He’s had enough testimonials of thanks to prove it.

PS-I don’t LV nor use gas so keep me out of the crosshairs👍🏻😊

As a safefill user that’s good news Merve.

DD if I had a MH I would probably have a fixed Gaslow system fitted but I wouldn’t take umbrage if someone was keeping the community informed about a competitor(?) product.  I’m pretty sure the club doesn’t look on this thread as advertising

Merve, unlike you I don't promote anything on CT.

DD- what is your problem?? You still accuse me of a falsehood-  At least my posts are positive and of help to my fellow caravanners. It’s easy to sit there and snipe from the side lines. I notice that no other makes have been offered by your goodself??
