Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

It has dropped from 6p down to 4p and discount seems to be getting less every week?

BTW your post regarding "average" price is spot on and does raise many questions.

I wonder how many weeks it is averaged over then? Average over two weeks is 5p so there must have been some cracking reductions prior

Hi all

We've had some reports this morning that the links on the product page are working for some users but not others. We have raised this with the Member Offers team but if you are trying to access the website this weekend this link takes you to the same site. The page will appear slightly different at the moment but you can register and log in as normal.

Thank you all for your patience while we & the operators resolve the issues that have been raised.

Rachel

Morning all.  Having at long last received “The Card” I have ploughed through nearly all these pages only to have doubt raised as to whether I should actually use it. There are lots of complaints/comments directed at the CAMC and Pump King (aka PK Fuel Ltd) but no-one appears to mention WEX who actually issue the card (or at least the one I have). Has anyone contacted WEX or have any idea what their involvement is in the administration of this offer? Is it possible WEX bears some responsibility for all the problems? Especially the double charging.

If we can take at face value any of the info provided by CC then the contract appears to be with PK and hence the responsibility

Out of interest what are the 'typical' savings over pump prices for diesel per litre ..... anybody?

Posted on 26/01/2019 12:16

Up here it is 2p a litre cheaper at Tesco than the price in the email.

And Tesco is less than a mile away on a road much travelled rather than off a motorway intersection miles away that I never use.

Tesco is also giving 5p a ltr off if you spend over £50 at the moment.

The pump price is over a penny lower at a nearby local esso station located at motorway junction. Although esso at Tesco is 4p more than card price.

My Esso Card or Pump King or whatever they are now calling themselves is an absolute joke!!! I ordered my card through the Club's website on the 7th December and still don't have a card.

When you look up My Esso Card's details they were only incorporated in April 2018 as Pump King and they also incorporated in Luxembourg too!!!

If you try to phone them the phone just rings and rings and then you get diverted to an international ringing tone and finally a voice mail box.

Quite frankly this company appears to be as dodgy as hell and I'm incredibly surprised and disappointed that the Caravan and Motorhome Club doesn't appear to have carried out ANY due diligence before making it public on our website.

I suggest that the Club withdraws any advert on the website regarding this company and I am getting VERY close to referring "My Esso Card" / Pump King to Trading Standards and also the Information Commissioner's Office for further investigation.

I signed up and passed all my personal details including debit card details to this company and I'm getting more and more concerned that they are not being stored in a safe manner.

If they can't sort out the card debacle how on earth can we expect them to store our personal data in a safe manner!!!
