Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

The club could help by putting the correct web link on its offers page as a first step laughing

It seems daft for any of us to be answering these things, I won't be saying any more. It's up to the club to explain things clearly.

And the club continue to promote this debacle. In the latest (Feb) magazine a full page advert on p21 then a (almost) half page ad on p78!

I doubt the club has much influence with PK Fuels, Pump-King or whatever name it is going by this week as they don't appear to have much influence on what appears in print in their own magazine!yell

A: My Esso Card is the only consumer facing fuel card.  (Esso).

So does that mean the only consumer facing fuel card or the only Esso consumer facing fuel card?

A: If you register for a My Esso Card via www.myessocard.com you are registering your details with My Esso Card and not with the Caravan and Motorhome Club. If you register for My Esso Card you will be entering into a legal agreement with PK Fuel Limited. See full Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy by visiting www.myessocard.com.

Neat trick if you can do this as www.myessocard.com. no longer functions as a web page and no redirect

A: To register visit www.myessocard.com and use access code CAMC-1118-MEC. Complete the simple online form and you will receive the card within 28 working days. Once your card has arrived you will need to login to your My Esso Account to access your unique PIN number (PIN available within 24 hours of registering).

Again: Neat trick if you can do this as www.myessocard.com. no longer functions as a web page and no redirect

A: There is no sign up fee, no transaction fee, no processing fee and no minimum spend.

No minum spend but penalised if you buy less than 15 litres. May well be more than the saving so I would say that you would be penalised

A: The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and Esso pump price rate. On average you will save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

For the average savimgs to be at 8p and a minimum of 1p this suggests that savings well beyond 8p must be available if 8p is the average Any users noticed this?

For me the FAQs raise as many as they answer

"It's up to the club to explain things clearly."

I'll try not to hold my breath waitingundecided

The lack of anything worthwhile from the club is staggering really, which is why others have to make assumptions about the whole debacle AND still they promote it?

Crazy reallysurprised

I contacted The Club about a double payment taken by Pump king in January and a month later in December. I recieved a message back from Megan Boyd from The Club stating refunds were happening.

I checked my bank account this morning and the refund was there. No e mail or phone call from Pump King to state they were refunding,  I think  i may hang back a month or 6 weeks before using the card again. Just so that my other transactions are not duplicated.

I’m not making assumptions along the lines of it being a scam, data gathering exercise or whatever, but it’s sure as hell safe to assume that hassle may very likely be incurred when applying for this card.

Anyone else notice that Pump-King have changed the start of their week from Sunday to Monday for this coming week. Don't get caught out and fill up today (although there is only a £0.002 difference on diesel between this coming week's price and the last week).

It has dropped from 6p down to 4p and discount seems to be getting less every week?

BTW your post regarding "average" price is spot on and does raise many questions.
