Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

Has anyone else noticed that the last few texts have a ? instead of a £ sign. Can texts just change on their own? Or does it mean that PK are unsure of the actual price for this coming week? They could claim that the figures that we see are not actually the price because there is no £ sign and charge what they like.

Occams razor would point to it being a simple muck up.  Probably when they were reconfiguring the sendgrid text message service to stop the multiple texts going out.

I would like some guidance on how to cancel this service. Pump-King's website does not provide any guidance and does not reply to emails.

I have not used it at all and don't expect that i will now - the prices being offered are nothing special in return for my account and personal data.

Legally, they have to comply with Data Protection legislation which states they need to offer a way to cancel their service and give me some confidence that they've deleted my data.

Why would the club promote this company? I've looked up PK Fuel, is owned by a single person and has declared assets of £1. WTF?

There's an 'unsubscribe' button on my profile page.  That might do what you seek.

I Deleted User my debit card from my profile and said that I'd put the card in the safe until the service became stable.  It does not feel as if we're there yet!

And still they come, (16.32) regardless of what has been said. I'm sure no one believes a word that PK says. The lunatics are still running the asylum.

I found their website was live again - 1500hrs. I went straight on and cancelled my account.

I am unhappy about trusting the company with my debit card details.

Besides I found the fuel prices being offered were not competitive, even being undercut by my local Esso station.

How did you cancel? I tried what you did, you get an auto email response to click a link to confirm, when you do this (within a few seconds) it just says the link has expired and your allowed to log back in and do it all over again!!  Round and round in circlescry

Well it worked first time for me. I received a second automated email confirming the account was closed.

I would be unsurprised if they have not been inundated with account closures. Perhaps that has now disrupted their systems.

Good afternoon,

there have been problems with the third-party text deployment service used to notify users of next week’s fuel prices which may have resulted in multiple text messages being sent to some users.

We have been notified that the issue is now resolved.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Have a good weekend.

Posted on 09/03/2019 18:08

Well, thanks for that, but I'm still getting multiple messages, last one 5.35pm??

So not really resolved as far as I'm concernedundecided
