Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

I understand that I, like several / many other members, was promised a £5.00 credit against their account as an apology for my / their application details being lost back in early December 2018. Has anyone actually received their promised credit?

After contacting the club in January I was told that the credit would be applied automatically when I had my next fill. This has happened but the credit hasn't. Another instance of financial mismanagement it would appear. All that PK Fuels have had to say is that the accounts team will be reminded.

Hi JohnM20,

I have forwarded this to my colleagues to chase with Pump-King and apologise that you have not received yet.

I'm still waiting for my card to arrive, but I note locally today (19 Feb) the price of diesel

 Asda £1.237

Esso  £1.279

Esso pump king card £1.264

Not much incentive then?

but where in the original promotion did it mention Pump King, on the face of it it looked as though the club were introducing this promotion in conjunction with Esso, and as i have said before, Pump King were involved with the Shell card introduced more than 1 year ago.

The original link given by the club directed you to what looked like an official Esso web site, it was only, probably, after thousands of members had registered did Pump King come to the fore.

A very dodgy deal with a very dodgy company, 2 years in the making, put forward to the members by a club that clearly did not do their homework.

According to Companies House Pump KIng was only formed in April last year so hardly 2 years in the making or have I missed something again?

Finally the new card arrived this morning and I now have my pin, however I hope everyones number hasn't been generated the same way otherwise it won't take a genius to work out what it is. Three quarters of the code is clearly written on the card. Hope it's just coincidence. My next challenge is to try and get through to PK to get it changed. It would be nice to have that ability via the website.

well if you care to track back through 1k+ posts, somewhere in all of it eccomerce1(staff) said this deal with PK was 2 years in the making, in a response i think to the integrity of debit cards, and i know the Shell card, which must be at least 12 months old was also a PK promotion undecided

My local is 130.9, Esso 7 miles away currently 129.9, so 126.4 is a saving. However if I'm off towards the nearest supermarkets, in excess of 25 miles away, diesel drops to 123.9, so swings and roundabouts depending upon where you live.

I've had my card barely 3 weeks and I got my text for this coming weeks prices...£1.191 per litre for standard unleaded. My local pump price is £1.199. An amazing saving of 0.08p. Where's the 5p saving per litre that was so heavily pushed on launch. The most I've saved since having the card is 2p per litre. Pathetic offer.

It was actually 8p per litre that we were conned with in the begining. Perhaps all that happened was the decimal point was placed in the wrong position . . . . ?

Are you sure it is not the previous card which has now expired?  They stated Monday 18th Feb  However, I believe the next Monday 18th February is 2030!  Maybe they will be sent out on Feb 29th?

Might have it by then?
