Hi.  We are new to caravanning this year and have decided as the kids are now grown up we would like to spend christmas and new year away in our new van, perhaps meet some new friends.

Has anyway got any ideas where we could go?  We dont mind travelling in the UK.

Hi there all

Great suggestions above. Please also note that 2 of our Club sites offer Christmas meals & festivities in the onsite restaurants: Hillhead at Brixham and Seacroft at Cromer. Check the website for pitch availability and then to book Christmas dinner please call the site direct.

Is it too early to wish every one Very Merry Christmas wherever you end up... let the Festive adventures begin!

Helen

Write your comments here...Yes, I suggest you look at Ross Park, Ipplepen Devon they have a superb Xmas and New Year package, with  superb meals and buffets and evening entertainment suitable for   "our age" not loud computer noise with the facility  to a small dance floor and great surroundings and like minded people. You can split the package and take  Christmas or New Year.We have done it since our families left home and now too many grandchildren to care for... SG2

Write your comments here... sailorgirl unfortunately while Ross Park is a lovely site and we will be going sometime, we cann't afford their  hoiday prices.. to be there for christmas and new year would cost us in the region of £800

If you like photography / bird watching / walking  etc., try Tudor Caravan Park, which is next to Slimbridge and canal. Have spent two new Years there, and thoroughly enjoed. Good night to be had in pub. Price is OK too.

Write your comments here...I've seen lots of Christmas lights on caravans during the festive season, so it's unlikely there'd be any restrictions. The lights help to brighten up the dark winter evenings.
