It might sound like a daft question, but can you day trip with a Caravan? For example, pull into a quiet beach car park and use it as a base for the day.  I can't find anything online. If it's ok, any suggestions for destinations in South Wales that would be suitable ?

Cheers

There doesn't seem to be any restrictions at the lime kiln car park at dale except for overnight stops.

Plenty of room and no height barrier and right on Sea front

Though you may get a few looks of disapproval .

Also Pembrey country park .

Although there is a dedicated Camping area now within the park .(Wondering on the effect of club site )many motor homes use as a day venue I cannot see any reason why car and caravan would be looked on any differently .

I live 5 minutes drive from Pembrey if you have not been there ,it's a fabulous venue with cycle paths sand dunes 7 mile beach forest walks always something going on during the summer
