Caravan for day trip?

It might sound like a daft question, but can you day trip with a Caravan? For example, pull into a quiet beach car park and use it as a base for the day.  I can't find anything online. If it's ok, any suggestions for destinations in South Wales that would be suitable ?

Cheers

I think youll find CY explained his post, apologising for it being a little confusing..... and his choice of words.

even i know the difference between hitching up and hooking up......Wink....and neither has a lot to do with gas....

carry on, you'll there there....Happy

Nope, I understood from the start as both terms are fully acceptable and understood by caravanners but I guess your mistake is understandable with you not being very familiar with caravans. Never mind, you're learning all the time.Cool

"Mea culpe" - been practising the local lingo out in sunny Spain, then,  CY?!!Wink

Sadly my Spanish is decidedly rudimentary. Anyway that was Latin - put it down to the "Boris Effect"

No help to you Jon but out off main season the east side of Marine Drive in Gorleston is wide enough and long enought to park your van.  No overnighting for either caravan or MH. I've done it a number of times.Happy

Just broke the rule and got a couple of hours sleep at Gorleston seafront, still hooked up or is that hitched up to the car! Surprised No problems all drifted off to sleep with the sound of waves lapping on the beach (no pun intended)Happy

I think you mean mea culpa. Literally translated as "through my fault" commonly used as "I'm to blame"

I know what you mean it's known in our house as 'fat finger syndrome ' I'm sure your spoken Spanish is better than mine which extends to counting up to five and saying 'hola' all this gleaned from watching Dora the Explorer
