there will be a few on here who think the new software is wonderful and defend it to the last. --- Not many !

BB has made a decision based on his opinion. It's his choice !!

While I personally think the new forum will  improve over the next few months, eventually coming  up to the standard of the old one, it will never be the "All Singing All Dancing" forum which most experienced  forum users have come to expect.

So that said, we have all been using the old forum for years so therefore we should have no problem using this forum once it is brought up to the standard of the old one.

All the best  BB

It seems a bit pathetic to have to wait months to get a product up the same standard of the  replacement which the Caravan Club thought worthy of upgrading !

Did the club ask for any input from bloggers here before changing. Seems not from the disappointment being shown.

To those who say, "Keep the faith it will get better" Frankly why should we keep the faith?  We have been banging on for a very long time about the need for serious improvements. ( And I mean years). We have been constantly advised, - stick with us, improvements are coming, - we have been listening to you!

The Result?  Absolute rubbish, and actually not very much more than a very dubious facelift!

Why Oh why did you not listen??  Why did you not invest in a team of professional web site authors?

I have been a member for so very long, and soon I will be too old anyway, but I really trusted the CC to deliver,- and now I actually feel betrayed!  You weren't really listening at all were you!

I'm not going to stump off in disgust, but I have seriously lost all faith, and interest in the ability of this forum to become a real asset to its members!

They have had input many times, >here is just one example.< Like many other old threads the responses were lost in the upgrade. cry Clearly the User Spec was lacking much of our inputs.

I am wondring if they used the expertise from Alan Rogers to do this upgrade. AR had a software team in their Media group which is of course now owned by the Club. This could be no bad thing in the long term for enhancing products quickly with changing times? We will just have to wait and see.

I've been a regular contributor to this forum since soon after its inception. I'll pop back in a couple of weeks to see if things have improved but if not then I too will be leaving.

I have a notepad by my computer and as I notice things that need attention I note them down and will in, due course, will send them to Rochelle. Starting from yesterday I thought the forum had become a bit quicker which is a good thing. As far as posting I have had no problems and I can add photos although rather ironically I found it easier to post photographs under the old system but I accept we need a system that assists all. What really concerns me is that the New Forum is all that people are talking about and posts and discussions elsewhere have all but stopped. Perhaps I could encourage people to use the energy they are currently using just to complain about the shortcomings of the new forum to get out and about in the other sections and bring some life back to the forum?

David, I have also noted that.  Perhaps it indicates the disappointment which members feel about this much heralded new forum.   I believe many members expected forum software with all the bells and whistles one normally associates with forums in the 21st century.  Especially those of us who are members of other forums where comparison is apparent every day.

Interest will improve as the months go on and members return to this forum.  Time is a great healer.
