Although it’s true we did have more regular posters on here some time ago, even then the percentage of posters was a small fraction of the total CC membership.
Many members are content just to read the forum and never join in, that is their choice. The new website then new logo change may have prompted a few to voice their concerns on CT but it was never likely that they would become regular posters IMHO.

Posted on 18/03/2017 10:38 by DavidKlyneI think we have to accept that not all members want to use the forum on a daily basis and some, probably quite a lot, dip in now and again to ask a question. On most forums it's easy to identify those who are the regulars, no harm in that as they tend to keep most forums going.
On the issue of supposed trolls. All I would say to people if they genuinely feel that a poster is trolling (as opposed to disagreeing with something that has been said) they should report such instances to the Community Manager. Every post has it's own facility to be reported if required.

I used to be a moderator on a busy social forum. Other mods were like me - unpaid. Admittedly a far bigger forum with a far greater number of active members and varied topics. It was unreasonable to expect mods who a;so wished to enjoy the forum to go into every section and thread just to read all posts. It is not simply a question therefore of 'policing' for the moderators but of helping volunteers who also have a life away from the forum.

There should be no need for a member to have to report the "So Called Trolls".... They should have been recognised and removed as soon as seen.....
