I have just returned to caravaning after a 25+ year break and have now done our first trip. I started using CT to ask a few questions and have had some great help from some members, Thank you for the help.

I must say though that there seems to be a few on here that are quite intolerante of newbies to the point of rudeness.in my opinion.and this is very off putting, I think in every post (apart from my introduction one) I have participated in there has been at least one reply relating to my post which I feel is just dam rude/arrogant.

Not too sure I will continue on here at the moment?

Just how I see it ?

Write your comments here...I know what you mean! In the couple of years I've been posting, I've encountered plenty of flak on here. Nevertheless, I'm still here posting!

Morning,....... to get back on topic!

It's quite possible that the OP is refering to me as he did suggest that I was 'rude' in one post.

My comment in that post referred to the general activity in that thread which strayed to the subject of inserting images in posts, and was certainly not directed at any particular poster.

There were three posts on the subject running at that time.

The OP obviously took it personally which was certainly not my intention.

.Like so many problems on this forum there is no PM whereby one can contact another member and clear the air before it gets silly....as in this case.

Please remember that these words are black and white but can be interpreted in different ways.

It is unfortunate that someone has been upset but sadly it does happen on all forums when there is no malice intended.

Even posting smileys is not easy on this forum for some members....including me!!Smile

I posted in that thread, yes it did stray from the OP's question and I was myself going to point it out, and no I didn't think your reply was 'rude', just stating a fact. Smile

You make  a good point about this forum though. unlike others I use it's very difficult to use and very restrictive in what you can and can't do.

Have a nice day everybody Cool

I do wish that people would realise what a nice gentle forum this is.  There are never any significant disagreements, arguments or bad feelings.  It could be neatly described as the pensioner's genteel tea social, where ocaisonally  over -sensitive old people go in the huff over nothing.

Of all the forums I know  , this is the most open, gentle and safe.

So stop all this whining about this forum, there is absolutely nought wrong with it .Smile

Cheers. .  K
