I have just returned to caravaning after a 25+ year break and have now done our first trip. I started using CT to ask a few questions and have had some great help from some members, Thank you for the help.

I must say though that there seems to be a few on here that are quite intolerante of newbies to the point of rudeness.in my opinion.and this is very off putting, I think in every post (apart from my introduction one) I have participated in there has been at least one reply relating to my post which I feel is just dam rude/arrogant.

Not too sure I will continue on here at the moment?

Just how I see it ?

Thank you so far everyone. It's not that I can't stand up for myself its just so unnecessary for people to be like that.

I could respond but would then be no better than them as some of you suggest and run the risk of getting in to bother with the admin of the forum.

As regards our first trip out, the Van was perfect, it tow's very well behind our FL2 and is very cosy & comfortable, and am very pleased we went for the fixed bed layout..

I agree Ian. It's much more convenient and comfortable having a fixed bed. Ours is a transverse bed and the only difficulty with it is that the passageway at the foot of the bed is too narrow.

It's nice to know that your first trip went well. Have you planned your next trip yet?

Write your comments here... We do have the next one planned (East Anglia) to meet up with friends from Norfolk with their van. It won't be until Spring though as other commitments (house bound 91 year old parent lives with us) have to be worked around.

Write your comments here...Have you thought about the Caravan Club National in Sandringham for the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May 2017? That might be worthwhile for you if you like the Norfolk area. We've already booked for it and looking forward to it.

Write your comments here...Nice location, Ian. Not far from Cambridge and within striking distance of North London.

Write your comments here...We have seen it advertised but the trouble is I have another hobby/interest. I have a 1973 Triumph Stag that I did a full restoration on in 2009 and we attend many car shows and events with the car.(mainly over weekends) towing the caravan with it is not an option either as its towing limit is about 1220kgs our caravan comes in at just over 1400 max weight. Plus being 43 years old I think it is a big ask of itLaughing

We are both retired (early) and are amazed how busy we are and wouldn't have the time to have a job now Happy.

Sorry if this is going off thread a little.

Ian.
