PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

I've given up browsing tonight.

The number of duplicate threads and the continuing ignoring of this problem by IT staff is disgraceful.

So, Rowena, what is happening? Anything? This forum's software is much worse than the one it replaced. Shame on the club.

Just logged in and found no less than 4 identical threads in the UK Touring section - title Freshwater East.  Clicking on each one doesn't give me any replies, only clicking on the date of the most recent post did.

This is getting worse, not better.  There used to be many duplicate threads, has this now multiplied to quadruple threads?  Won't be able to see the wood for the trees before long.

Ina

The problem we have as Mods is that if people reply to any of the duplicate threads it makes it much more difficult for us to hide them. It's probably a big ask but when someone sees a duplicate if they can hold off replying we can usually hide the extra duplicates. Once posts start to be made it seems to become more difficult.

Rowena has said that she is speaking to IT to try and solve this issue. It's similar to the problem we had previously when we had duplicate replies within discussions and we managed to sort that out.

Thanks David.  I hope that a solution will be found and implemented soon.  I suppose it's no less frustrating for you as mods, if you are limited in what you can do.

I know it's radical but they could try getting someone who can build a proper functioning website.

I usually look at the forum area via latest activity, by clicking on "Club Together" but this doesn't seem to be working, I get the general club together page with "top questions." My only way in at the moment is via discussions. Once or twice it has worked correctly but seems to have got worse this weekend.

That's the way I always come onto CT. Leave it open on my android phone, which I'm using now and do generally just hit the refresh button, not had any issues this morning. All seems as normal 😃.

Others are reporting it's slower than normal this weekend but I'm not finding that either. Maybe it' a device issue? Who knows? Will we get a response 😂.

I will say that actually typing and it hitting the screen has quite a long delay, but that' often normal for this site. As is leaving off letters when there' an apostrophe needed with predictive text. I'e left the examples in this paragraph.its quite funny to see all the letters used waiting to be on screen before they disappear 😉
