PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

On the other hand as less people seem to be useing this part of the website because of the "problems" affecting it ,and the the way the club IT team? are being shown,  by those who seem to know about websites ,that they are not it seems very good,  it may be that the cc are trying to do as all large companies try, that is hoping that users will completely  "fade away" so that it can be closed because of the cost , as it is so under usedundecidedsurprised

Further to yesterday's post about cookies, this morning they seem to have disappeared completely with no indication of new posts.

It is abundantly clear to anyone on the basis of the evidence before us that that this IT team is TOTALLY INCOMPETENT.

One must also question the fitness of senior management for their job in allowing this issue to persist for so long.

I am not sure how we ever get any Europeans on our sites. Using the web site here in France is like watching paint dry. Other UK sites are running at a reasonable speed, it is just this one. Certainly if I was visiting Britain and considering using CAMC sites, I think I would give up.☹️

I hope the down time on the web site today has improved a few areas, pleased to see the rally search now working.

However.....my happiness would be complete if we could search by location (we could previously.) The search asks for "where," this brings up all the centres but no locations, since many run rallies all over the uk this makes things difficult for the searcher. Anyway I've enjoyed spotting rallies from Orkney to the Isle of Wight but I only wanted Devon, Dorset or Cornwall at the moment. I'm slowly getting there.wink

I would reserve judgement, until the beginning of next month.

Missing posts under "Thetford Cassette" thread and then it is showing under "hidden"  .

Yes Fozzie.  I was typing a post in that section yesterday afternoon when the site went down and I got an 'ERROR' message when I tried to access the site.  Now that it is up and running although showing that 11 posts were made on this subject there is only one.undecided

I don't believe the "Routine Maintenance" bit. If it truly was routine, there would be prior notice. How much longer will management persist with the fiction that this whole procedure is actually under control?

I'm inclined to agree unless there is some policy of "never explain, never apologise" a working practice I thought had died out in the sixties?

Not easy to get on line today, lots of server error messages, slow and unpredictable.

They're not on windows xp are they?! tongue-out
