PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

The site seems to be a 'work in progress Steve'. How long has the new site been 'running'?

Sadly, to be honest, it is up but hardly to be classed as running regarding progress. One step forwards and two steps back seems a better qualification of its progress

Will somebody please look at the mess that is 'Which filters need changing' in the CL section.

The thread is duplicated and the pages muddle themselves up.

There seems to be a problem with some posts duplicating themselves. I don't think the blame can be laid at the door of the original poster as we seemed to have solved the multiple pressing of the submit button. I have tried to delete the second thread of the same title but when I do that it has a knock on effect on the main thread so I undid the deletion. The posts are clearly linked in some way which explains the strange happenings but not the cause. Hopefully Rochelle will see this but with the show happening this week I am not sure how much time there will be. If there is an issue with a particular thread it's probably best to press the report button, if you have not already done so,  which will alert the CM direct.

It isn't the only thread doing this. Bletchley Park thread is having a turn. I posted as first response this morning. My post has disappeared completely and someone says there's a duplicate post.

Things don't seem to be any better on CT or searching for CL not bothered trying anything else!

Surely IT won't be at the show 🙄

Rochelle's not going to the show either.

David, I realise it wasn't anything to do with the OP even though he's a master at duplication. Suddenly a second thread appeared after the post contents had been Deleted User without comment by whoever did it.

I reported the issue yesterday but, quite honestly, I think the report button had been disconnected at CC's end these days.

Thankyou for trying to delete the second thread. Allow me to present you with this. Multiple supplies may be required.

Same thing happened to my post on there but I was keeping quiet having decided that reporting anything appeared to be a waste of effort based on feedback or lack thereof

On a positive note......I have noticed that, if you 'time out' while writing a long post, instead of just losing everything when you press the 'submit' button, now nothing happens.

After trying a few times, it dawns what has happened. You can then 'copy' the text, log in, get sent back to the home page, navigate back onto the forum, re-find the thread......and paste your text and submit it.

Progress of sorts, I suppose.....undecided
