PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

Posted on 14/01/2017 20:13 by SpriddlerI open CT and all Discussions come up (albeit only 5 at a time). I then scroll down, clicking on 'Read More' and passing over many topics which are not of interest. When I spot a topic that looks worth reading I click on 'Read discussion' and read all the posts in that particular topic. However, when I've read to the last post in that particular topic I click on my 'Back' button and I'm taken right back to the first topic (!!) which is the same one where I started scrolling/browsing in the first place, perhaps some minutes before. So I then have to scroll down all the way through again (5 at a time!) through topics that I'd previously passed over until I get to previously unseen posts. Other website message boards that I use take you back to the last topic you opened so that you don't have to keep going over old ground. It's a real faff.

I also find this to be a real pain Priddler and will be taking TW's advice.

Have you tried using the navigating arrows, < or > for one page forward and back, << or >> for start and end of a discussion?

Brue, I'm referring to going back to the (initially just 5) Topics listed, not moving between posts/pages within the same Topic.

I.e. when I've read the posts in one selected Topic and go back to the Topics listing (using my 'Back' button) it takes me to the very first one, not to where I left off last time, so I then have to keep clicking on 'Show more' and therefore opening and scrolling through pages of Topics that I previously ignored as not of interest.

Ok Spriddler, I couldn't replicate the problem on my phone or laptop, maybe you need to say what device you are using?

What a weird website.  If you go onto discussions  and don't log in, pick a subject and log in it the site reverts to CT home page.  Whereas if you don't log in, go to discussions, pick any thread/item press like for a post it will bring up the log-on box, after logging in, it returns to the post you were going to like!

There seems to be an error in the number of views some discussions get which is often lower than the number of posts which seems a bit strange. Has the method of counting views changed?

ON CL search screen enter Greenacres as the CL name. Select the 1st CL which is at Fakenham. Read Reviews and then Read More Reviews. Quite frequently you will get the reviews for my Greenacres CL at Bibury. I've also managed the reverse ie got the Fakenham reviews for my CL. I can't repeat consistently but have certainly managed it several times. I am aware of another CL (The Meadows) with a similar problem. ie problem with CLs having the same name. Pity they didn't use a unique reference number to identify sites within the database.
