I now no longer seem to be getting E-mails informing me of latest the posts that are being made on discussions that I ticked to follow.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I've just had my first email notification in weeks and it was to tell me that "email notification (1) has been updated.

NO it hasn't, because that was closed down weeks ago.

I haven't had any notifications for discussions where there should have been.

Thank you to the IT Dept for rectifying the problem....Cool

Brian

Not sure they have, After my post above there have been 4 further replies. I have received no notification about them.

The plot thickens. When I now presss reply I should get the appropriate email notification to this post

Think you're right harry, all I've been getting is notification of all the threads that I have been following. No notification of any new posts on them, which I know have been posted, as I've been following them manualy so to speak....Yell

Not quite back to square one, but not much further forward I fear....UndecidedCool

I'm getting plenty of emails now. Glad to see that the problem has been fixed.

Not totally fixed I fear. A new notification took 4 hours to appear. So perhaps it is work in progress rather than a fix.

Earlier in this thread I forecast being swamped with reminders when the problem was fixed; I was right. I'm in Germany at present with limited access but my phone has just been inundated Frown.

DD, tip for you Mucker. . . .I've devised a cunning plan I'm willing to share. . . .Use the delete key, it works a treat. No need to thank me it's my pleasureLaughing

To me it is the complete folly of having notifications in the first place. How people can't keep track of what they post on here by just by running through the various sections I don't know. Several people who have mentioned the lack of notifications appear not to be frequent posters and all they have to do is look at the list of "My Posts" to the right of the posting pane to see their last five posts. I would have thought it a fairly simple procedure to just click on those five items to check for any new posts? I suppose we all have our own way of doing things but the last thing I want is an inbox full of e-mails which I then have to delete.

I clicked to follow the A1 North post as I'm heading that way on Aug bank holiday. There have been 3 posts today and I haven't received one email alert

David It's not always convenient to have a computer infront of your to look for answers. In my post above it was easier for me to hear the sound of an incoming mail to alert me to something I  wished to an eye on when I wasn't beside the computer.

If the facility is there for members to use if they so wish then that is their choice so to say it's folly is wrong.

Can I remind you also that this was reported by you some 7 weeks ago and it hasn't been put right yet. Maybe as you alerted HQ you could ask why as 7 weeks seems a long long time.
