TG my sister and husband "did" the Baltic cruise, a Russian submarine decided to enjoy a swim around the area too, so their cruise schedule went to pot. When they finally got to St Petersburg my sister became ill with a bad respiratory infection affecting half the ship...don't want to put you off! tongue-out

Fine dry day here in S.Cumbria, and the sun soon made short work of the little snow that we had yesterday evening. Went on a couple of our usual walks from home, including up on the old sports fields before they once again turn to mud. Plenty out and about but all keeping well apart when passing . The forecast is for a warmer but wetter day tomorrow.

Oh brue that's not good.

When we went to the S Caribbean we both got a respiratory infection on board the ship. Not a nice thing to have, lost the last week of the cruise as stuck in the cabin most of the time. Don't want to do that again.

Good news / bad news day alas   laughingfrown !!

The Garage is struggling to fix the particulate filter problem on the dukky,  but aged sister was called in for anti-covid vaccine today - Eldest son drove her there, Insisted on her using the Blue Badge & a wheel chair { Getting more insistent on his own way now !! } as sis arrived at Vaccine point she was asked for certain details including her Surgery, and, on giving the details was surprised when the Nurse said" Oh, Good  you're one of MY LOT then !!  You really cannot hide anywhere these days, even when wearing a face covering  so don't try robbing the bank  !!

ABM that's good news for your sister on the vax and that she is doing as shes told by son 😉. I hope that the garage can fix your dusky problem without too big a wallet hit. Is it parts?

Lovely video call with son and DIL last evening, new addition is growing but they are very laid back. Little in hand for its arrival in less than 3 months. Travel system, excluding car seat, finally ordered but now learned colour choice not available at the mo, still doesn't galvanised them - oh to be so chilled 😱. I had delivery to them from John Lewis of basic clothing received thanks but been put away for now, it's getting a bit real apparently 🤣. Did say I thought it might get them through one day IF everything stayed in the tummy or caught in the nappy 😉. I think they thought I was joking............ oh the steep learning curve that accompanies new parents in so many ways!

Cold frosty start here, grey again. Left my washed bedding out overnight, not stiff this morning surprisingly not dry yet either but smells wonderful.

Takethedogalong has changed her avatar, keep forgetting to mention it! Nice blinde and brunette 😉

Off for a crunchy, hopefully, dog walk soon. Stay safe folks.

After some clear but cold days, its now slightly warmer and murky. It's a do nothing day for me. Lunch will be easy - the fridge is rather overrun with cheese. And supper's a long way off - no need to think about it yet.

OH has been in for breakfast and gone out to finish off essential feeding etc - another 90 minutes or so.

Yesterday a contractor came and spread FYM on our hay fields. The next time we go into them will be in summer to mow the grass.

Our pond has frozen, and in this photo you can see the circles where an otter has surfaced, and then it has refrozen.

Lovely photo Goldie.

It's a do nothing day for us as well. Ventured out but not very far as the top snow level on pavements has partially melted but there's sheet ice underneath. Not safe and I have no wish to inspect the inside of any A&E room.

Whatever you are doing make sure it's safe one.

TG wrote about different legs of a world cruise. Living as I do fairly close to Southampton, fly-cruises just don't do it for us, especially long-haul.
