We have heavy frost but no snow🤷🏻‍♂️🙁. West Yorks & North Yorks are calling another ‘Beast from the East’ we’ve been bypassed.

I'm glad of the heavy frost this morning, walking the dog on the frozen mud was much more pleasurable and clean compared to the squelchy mess yesterday afternoon.smile

TG, I can recommend the Baltic. We did it in 2012. 2019 was our silver and we had a month on QM2 to NY, New England and Quebec. OH is suffering withdrawal symptoms as we haven't done another cruise since then.

For sure👍🏻, on the upside-it ain’t flooded other than in low lying areas of fields. Particularly around the sheep field/geese pond atwixt Preston & Sproatley😂😂

Slightly firmer dog walk this morning, but still soft going, goes to show how wet the ground is. Rather misty start to the day but sun came out, most welcome 🌞 about 1030 and we have wonderful blue sky. I really wondered if someone had stolen it, it's been sooooo long since we had any.

I've opened all the blinds in the conservatory, roof included, and am sunning myself. First time I've opened all but the minimum blinds since early December. I hate them closed as it makes me feel caged but it has honestly been so grey, dull and cold it was a waste of effort until today. It's really lifted my spirits 😀

Stay safe folks

Minus 5 when we set out this morning. Would have been happy to have a long walk but the roads are treacherous and fields were in flood before the snow came so they were impassable. Shame to waste such a lovely sunny day.

At least we are south facing in the living rooms so plenty of heat coming in.

Another very cold day with freezing fog now.  The sun was up there somewhere, but too much cloud for it to provide any warmth, heating has had to be on all day.   With so much time spent at home, our fuel bills will be astronomical!

We are switching energy  supplier soon and for the first time ever we will not be getting a refund from our current supplier......not away in the van...... not so much at DD's house.......and a long cold spell.  We were down to -7 overnight.

Far too cold to be down in my garage workshop, so repairs on the cot bed will have to wait.

Mrs WN actually wished it was a year later as she would fall into a higher category and therefore theoretically get a jab quicker.laughing

Congrats to The Tammys and Bakers. Any idea Tammy what you'll do for your 50th next year? We're only up to 42 in March so Bakers and us lot will, hopefully, be planning in 7 years time. I fancy NZ but may bump into the Bakers on the plane. We could bore people senseless before we got to Singapore.😂

You were lucky Helen. I understand some BG people on strike.

Wherenext we have a local Gas Safe plumber who services our boiler. So don't have to rely on BG.

Not frosty here, its been very foggy all day. Went out for a walk and couldn't see down the field to the canal. Surprisingly lots of folks out and about and the roads still busy. Ended up walking further than we intended too, although getting a bit fed up of the same walks but in different directions.

Bakers2  love the idea of a cream tea delivery, may have to look into getting one.

Glad to read that some have appointments for the Covid Vaccine, may have to wait quite a while for mine, bottom of the list. 🙁

Mum day today for me. Lots to sort out/ do at her place, so had a busy day. No sign of any rock salt in outhouse, and her paths were treacherous. Very heavy frost here, it was -3c as I went out this morning, even windows on Jeep were frozen. Didn’t get above freezing all day. Took Mum for a spin, just to give her a different day, only doing things like essential shopping and got some rock salt. That hour made her day, she hadn’t been out for a week. She stayed toasty in car while I masked up. Morrison’s fruit and veg area was looking a big empty. First time in a big supermarket for months. Not very busy, and good to see more folks were using sanitising stations rather than walking past.

Back home now, stove is lit, OH has done some sort of casserole that is bubbling away, that smells nice.
