B2,    It's some blockage problem on the diesel particulate filter, very probably due to doing too few miles so not getting up to self-cleaning temperatures for long enough, alas  smile  or so I am told  !

As for the cost, well I do need the motor 'cos Crewe has too many banks, slopes and bridges for old bones to handle with ease now. At least I can smile & tell folk " Stay Home, Like wot I is doing " and move away with a DGB self-satisfied smirk wink

Well it does look to be climbing slowly upwards temperature-wise in South Cheshire.  It is frost and fog free, dry and looking a touch brighter even though totally grey cloud cover, so I'll dash off now and record a good few 'K's on the indoor exercise bike with a handy cup of Yorkshire's best !!  See you all round the back of the bike shed sealed

OH has stopped painting the kitchen to ease his back and watch the snooker! I've cleaned out two big bookcases, when I stopped dipping into the books I got the job done. There's nowhere to donate anything at the moment so most of them went back on the shelves.

I've spent sometime on ancestryuk helping out BIL track down his French and Irish ancestors, had some success and emailed copies on to him. It's surprising what's out there now.

Not doing anything else, just some needlepoint which is portable, sometimes I buy half finished items on eBay, this is one of them...I quite enjoyed tackling it and turning it into a cushion! If you don't like these things look away now. laughing

That’s lovely brue. I will no doubt inherit some of Mum’s half finished needlework projects. I will have to take a look, was it eBay? I had no idea folks were putting half finished stuff up for sale. Kits cost such a lot to buy from new.

Edit, sorry you mentioned ebay😉

Another grey day here, but at least it is a bit warmer.

OH discovered at 7am that I had forgotten to turn off the water supply to  our outside tap for winter.    embarassed      She thought she heard water running somewhere and went to investigate.......water spraying everywhere from a split in the pipe outside.    Now turned off, but will leave the repair for warmer weather.

DD has been trying to finish painting the new cornice in the baby brother room, very slow progress and now has an aching arm......I know the feeling well!

Brue,  do those half finished needlework items shew that a " Second " person has been needling as I remember problems the girls in my family had due to differing tensions on the threads causing little uneven areas ??

{ All these points due to my being told so often to " Sit down Shut up and play with your building blocks "  }

We are watching the Marine v Spurs match. I love all the spectactors watching from their back gardens, drinks in hand and having a great time even though their team are losing. Marine are the only team this season with spectators! I just wish Marine had got a goal.

Yes, it was a good game, a lot more atmosphere than most games at the moment. Great goal by the 16 year old, Alfie Devine. I loved the sign just behind Jose M “I am single, looking to mingle”😂 And the cardboard Klopp, he moved house a couple of times I think. Nice little story around fans, Marine put 1000 virtual tickets up for sale, to get a bit of cash in, they ended up selling 20,000, many to Tottenham fans. Nice bit of cash there for them.

We watched Leeds Utd get an absolute stuffing as well, earlier this afternoon.

We've just watched it as well, I wish they'd got a goal too but it was a refreshing change to watch a game without all the trappings, I liked the banner adverts round the pitch, like the "old" days! wink

Our “prewash” has just ambled in from his basket. We forgot and put a plate on floor while watching match. He doesn’t miss a trick🤣

Yes I loved the 'I'm single and ready to mingle' sign as well 😃 Great goal from the 16 year old. The game was played in such great spirit. It was very refreshing.
