I paid the annual renewal on my car insurance this afternoon. It cost me £1903. I had to stay on hold for twenty minutes on the phone before I could speak to someone. Once I got an answer, it was fairly straightforward on making a card payment over the phone. Now all paid up until December 2017.

Blimey Malc! Are you sure you've got that decimal point in the right place! 

I don't feel so bad about my renewal, that's due this week, now.

To day i am setting up our village kids christmas party . about 125 kids in the village hall , oh what fun

A morning of being The Chief Financial Executive. i.e.quarterly VAT and monthly Payroll done.

Meanwhile the domestic staff (doubling up as The Chief Financial Executive) have put dinner in the Aga and polished three silver cups we are returning to the Annual Dinner and Awards Do for our Shorthorn region. How many will we be bringing home? As the one who is let in on the secret Prize List in order to print the certificates, I have a good idea! The rest of the family prefer not to know and like a surprise, so I have a sealed file to take tonight.

Seven cups to display (and clean)! A very good night.
