Friday and Saturday were very busy but it has gone quieter today. We passed by the sea front earlier and there were crowds of people sitting outside bars and restaurants, lots of people walking along the promenade near the pier. It's clouding over a bit now, nice cool breeze though!

We've only had one delivery to do so far this afternoon.

We're parked by Broadwater Green at the moment. There's no cricket on this afternoon, so plenty of available parking spaces. There are some caravans and motorhomes still parked on the other side.

Finally decided on our 'summer' break and for a change decided to go north to Scotland instead of south to France -  for a change! Booked a CL in Wensleydale, then another near Alnwick, then Edinburgh club site and a CL near Oban for starters. Where next we don't know but will consider the weather....Oh yes...and its started to pour with rain again! Flaming June!

Well, bike riding seems to be very popular on here.

We went off on ours this morning, did the circuit of Bredon Hill.....about 30 miles. There were loads of other cyclists out and I always like how they acknowledge you as they pass in the opposite direction (and one or two in the same direction Sad)

After many diversions we finally managed to cycle to the confluence of the Maine and Loire rivers, the causeway that we usually use along the river maine had overflowed in quite a few places so we had to go around a differant way.

This afternoon we took the trike out for a spin, decent weather does make a differance.Smile

Now all packed up ready for the drive to Caen in the morning.

Is that you heading for home then, TG?

We still don't feel able / comfortable going for those really long breaks that you do. Don't know why, we are both retired and the van is there to use.....

Don't forget your midge protection if you're heading up the West coast, especially if it's warm, damp and still. Have a good trip.

What a horrible day here.Yell Started raining before 2:00 pm and it hasn't stopped yet. Completed the hoovering and dusting in the van and started the polishing of the woodwork. With a bit of luck I'll finish it tomorrow, and we're be nearly ready for the off again.
