Just a quick post while Mrs M's not looking! We've had a dramatic change of weather here in Slovenia. Two scorching hot days. Yesterday wevtook a trip down to the two lakes at Bled and Bohinj and then up into the National Park to a truly spectacular waterfall which the guide said was at its most powerful for years after weeks of rain. Today a long, long walk in the mountains with wide reaching views - wonderful. Relaxing with a well earned beer now.

Tomorrow is a day off the guided walks; we're planning to hire bikes and cycle all the way to Italy (sounds good, but in fact the border is only just over 5 miles away.)

Quick shower before dinner and then I guess we'll withdraw to the bar - that blueberry brandy's not going to drink itself is it? Wink

Glad you're both enjoying yourselves and that the waether's picked up for you. The nightcap sounds interesting!!

Glad you are having some nice weather, it puts a whole new perspective to the holiday.

Walked along the Winchcombe road to Stanton then through that village (delightful, especially as they are preparing to open the village for the National Gardens Scheme tomorrow) and up onto the Cotswold Way.

Walked along there and dropped down again onto the Snowshill road and back into Broadway. A lovely walk that we have done many times and never tire of.

Write your comments here...Nellie i will check my manual tomorrow and see if there is anything mention in it.

Thanks, SELL. Will be interested in what you find.

Write your comments here...nellie have checked the towing section of my handbook and there is no mention anywhere about having to put any mileage on vehicle before you start towing.

Write your comments here...you can go online and download the manual it states that before towing a heavy trailer you must do 1000km first

Seems to contradict what SELL's just said. Will have to have a look at the manual myself I guess.

Write your comments here...This is an extract from the manual you can download.

Fine day, not too much sun but warm and dry. Managed to get about half of the inside of the van cleaned out, hopefully I'll get quite a bit more done tomorrow. One more site booked so only waiting on one response now, perhaps we'll get it tomorrow.

Went for a bike ride into Angers this afternoon along the causeway, the river is one side the lake the other. It was fully open but you could see where in places the river had gone over the causeway into the Lake, levels now down but areas that are normally dry have small lakes of standing water still. Tomorrow we will ride the other way and see what it is like in that direction. Lots of mosquitos around perfect breeding conditions just nowFrown

New van photo 20160617_165410_zpsuachzuwb.jpg

.David..What make awning is it ,as that is what we are looking for to fit on our Pegasus,as have not seen any brackets that fit

How did that happenSurprised

It's a Thule 6200, JVB66.  They don't come cheap - supplied and fitted by Rose Awnings.  They travel all over the country fitting these (included in the eye watering price).  We went to the NEC show in February with the specific intent of having a look at these.  We were really keen, and in the end decided to buy a new van as well.  It just didn't feel right to phase it put on a 6 year old van.  Laughing

David It may well be worth ringing him up for advice or going to one of the Caravan and Motorhome Shows - I think they are at most of them.

David

..Thanks David will contact them
