Rain here mid morning, but otherwise dry with some sun and some clouds. Took our old BBQ's remains to the tip, then carried on to Ikea to help OH buy 3 new mirrors for the Guide Hall.
They had a sale on, so we added a few other bits and pieces to the trolley, then we had a bargain "10 meatballs" meal for £1 each, plus free coffee.
On the way home we took the mirrors to the Hall, and had a look at how the painter was getting on. Seems to be making good progress and thinks we have purchased plenty of woodstain.
First wet day, I will be down there to put the mirrors up, meantime it's back to the window repairs here.

Woken up to a lovely sunny morning here in Worthing. We've just had tea and breakfast cereal plus toast. Soon we'll be taking the car in to have the new off road tyres fitted as it's booked in to be done this morning. They say it will take about two hours, so should be ready in time to start work at 12 noon.

Sunny morning, sitting listening to thechickens on the cl, had a walk through the village with the dog last night, its possible to buy almost all fruit, veg, jam, pickle and eggs from stalls set up in driveways. Money in an honesty box. Ive really been "shopping local" this week.

Second Cut Silage in full flow.
My only contribution? Food. Plenty of it, packed up in boxes and not too sticky or crumbly. It often has to be eaten on the go with one hand. Homemade puff pastry cheese and onion pies did not go down well.
It's going to be a long day. 5:30 start and probably near midnight finish. There's been discussions on which fields need to be picked up before it gets dark.
Sorry, this should maybe be in the "work" thread.

We've started to take the awning down in readiness for our two nights away tent camping. The weather forecast promises no rain for the next few days. We were planning to take the awning down tomorrow morning but no time then because of having to take the car in, which will take up two hours of our morning. So we've just taken the front and sides off. We'll complete the dismantling once we get back from having the new tyres fitted tomorrow.
