Three Quarter Length Shorts

They are cooler than cargo trousers yet still have room for additional pockets. One can also paddle without the labour of rolling up one's trousers which look even more naff, particularly with knotted hanky accessories.

I wear shorts from as early in the year as I can, usually a week or two before Easter and won't wear a pair of full trousers till sometime in November, when it starts to cool down a bit. I too have a few pairs of crops for when I feel like dressing up.

Wear what you want, does it matter?

Three quarter length only work on tall, young men   As OH is neither tall or young ....  

Unsightly fashion, think they are what skate boarders wear started in the USA ,

most are young men /boys but many oldies now wearing them and look absolutely ridiculous and even worse when they wear them with socks and crocs

My OH wouldn't be seen in public in shorts.  It's hard enough to get him to wear them in the garden at home.  He doesn't like being sockless either. 

It takes all sorts. 

Sounds familiar Jill, although it's now so warm that my OH has relented but the socks are still in place....

My husband wears his shorts as often as he can ( never 3 quarter length though) he thinks his legs are his best asset and puts them on show as often as possible. Such a poser!

But I must admit they are looking good even at 55.

Well my hubby is very rarely out of them, (I often think when he was a lad he wanted to be a postman )
