After reading the posts, I don't think the EV is suitable for me. They are advertised as an Urban vehicle, which rules me out.

I am sure that city / large town dwellers, where the air is most polluted will welcome them.

but not as good as they used to be in the good old days when everything was made here in England!

So what happened to this tin opener from the good old days then?  Did it stop working?

I wonder if the Tesco "Refund or Replace" mantra will apply to electric cars when they go phutt ?

The problem, JVB66, is we don't seem to get that choice. I keep searching the labels for Made in England and I just can't find anything! If it's not made somewhere in the Far East, it's not made at all!

Having said that, the last belt I bought was in Marks and Spencer in Wuhan, China and that was Made in England and was the best quality belt I've ever had. Yet when you go to Marks and Spencer on any high street in UK, you will probably find that most of the things on sale are made overseas. Why is that?

Perhaps the answer is something to do with price and the use of cheap labour overseas. The problem with that is less jobs in UK and lower quality products being sold for no othe reason than it's cheaper but at the end of the day, if you want better quality it might be better buying British and paying the price!

Our resident chef and gastronomic expert hasn't replied but they are indeed British peas in British cans....laughing
