Here's a couple of questions
What with happen to the 30 million + registered vehicles in the UK, they will have no value here so will they end up in developing countries where they won't be maintained and create even more environment issues.
Why would the petroleum companies spend hundreds of millions on exploration, development and production if they lose more than half their market. What will happen to the folk who rely on gas and oil for the energy needs?
Another day here where solar and wind aren't generating so our standby gas fired power station working full belt!
I just think there needs to be more thought/information on all aspects of transportation/power, especially cost to the consumer.
Looks like the future is going to be nuclear

I think it's more to do with finite resources, pollution from emissions and conserving energy for purposes other than driving cars. Also avoiding reliance on other countries for energy.
The solar panels round here must be going at full pelt today. Hope the future isn't nuclear but we've certainly got a reminder in the SW with a major construction going up at a very expensive rate.

Shell has opened car charge points, it will be able to charge 80% of a vehicle’s battery in 30 minutes.

The clever ones might be able to help me understand this -
If it's going to take 30 minutes to charge the car that has 20% left does it mean that if you are in a traveling a fair distance and in a hurry you should stop more often to top up. I suppose they mean 30 mins when there is not a queue.

There are charging points in Tesco's now, haven't you seen them, don't know how much they charge.
The other link I posted made interesting reading with regards to payment, and method of paying, also different connections. Still impractical for me to consider buying one yet.
