Pro's and con's for buying an electric vehicle

After reading the posts, I don't think the EV is suitable for me. They are advertised as an Urban vehicle, which rules me out.

I am sure that city / large town dwellers, where the air is most polluted will welcome them.

What has tin openers got to do with Electric Vehicles, talk about going of topic.

Tin openers are made abroad - and don't work (apparently).

Electric cars are made abroad - and  . . . . . .

It is called "forewarned".

I think there needs to be more quality control over stuff entering into the UK market from overseas. It's ridiculous, for example, that tin openers that are sold over here but made overseas, don't work! How do you open a can of mushy peas with a tin opener that doesn't work?

We have two tin openers, one is from Ikea so no doubt made in China, or thereabouts, and it actually works very well.  So does the other one but I have no idea where it was made.

You seem to have been very unlucky with tin openers!

Personally, I prefer frozen garden peas, no tin opener required.

You take it back to the place you  bought it ,if it is not due to "operator error"

Meanwhile, back on Planet EV... I was at the dentist this morning reading an article about a future Tesla Model. 0-60 1.9sec, 200mph+ , and a 620 mile range. Now that is starting to look usable. Shame about the $200K price tag.

Just lift the ring pull and ....... pull laughing

If there is none then you bought the wrong can wink

I do if it has a ring but mushy pea tins don't have rings!

I bought them at Tesco and they were made in China. If I take it back they will either replace it with another one that doesn't work or refund the money paid in which case I will end up back where I started with no tin opener at all! In my view, products should be tested before they are put on the market in the first place. Why frustrate customers by selling them something that's useless?

Mushy peas go well with fish and chips with a little salt and vinegar added!
