Drone on and on and on!!

we have just stayed at Knaresborough caravan site and written a review.  We noticed a drone taking off from outside reception and then flew all over the site before landing back in car park.  With the increase in drone sales it maybe worth a mention that flying so close to the public is illegal and the caravan club should not encourage this in any way.

The injury to people or property? Would the caravan club pay for my damage if they allowed the person to film from above???

On a French site we came across the Club doing a drone and conventional camera "shoot" for use in selected sites literature.

We were advised by the photographer it was intended to be done the next morning, early when the lighting was better for that purpose.

I expect that should we have had any hang up from perceived danger or loss of our privacy then a purpose of that evening's chat would have been our chance to object?

I was more technically interested than concerned, but then the lady I was camping with was my own wife.wink

Hello, I have a strange aversion to drones and queried their use on site with the club some months ago and have a reply confirming that all wardens are aware that they are banned on site.  It is covered by the rule about consideration for other members on site.  End of!

Hadn’t thought of that!  However at least I can produce my copy of the email if any visitor should launch one on site.

I'm sure that some people deliberately out of their way to find something that might upset them
