Drone on and on and on!!

we have just stayed at Knaresborough caravan site and written a review.  We noticed a drone taking off from outside reception and then flew all over the site before landing back in car park.  With the increase in drone sales it maybe worth a mention that flying so close to the public is illegal and the caravan club should not encourage this in any way.

The injury to people or property? Would the caravan club pay for my damage if they allowed the person to film from above???

Perhaps it was the site staff checking to see how many empty pitches were left.--- If it took off from just outside the reception, that could be the most reasonable explanation. A new tool in the site staff's inventory since the upgrade. . laughinglaughinglaughing

You won`t all be cracking jokes when one scrapes down the side of your "pride and joy" causing a few hundred pound worth of damage!

Yea! and more rules. laughinglaughinglaughing

Perhaps wardens should be issued with shot guns and anti-aircraft missiles.

Any drones come flying over my caravan and invading my space will be fair game for a spot of target practice.

  • Whilst i unerstand the 50m rule which was clearly broken, i was trying to get the point across at how dangerous it is in an area like a campsite. To put a more serious spin on it the amount of children we saw when we stayed could have easily been hit. so have put a picture up of what can happen when drones contact kids .

I think if the target practice includes you & a firearm a jail sentence could follow☹️

We were at Ferry Meadows when a drone was flown around the site , when a film crew were on site doing some work for the CC marketing department ,the drone operator had civil aviation certificate
