When you consider how many P&R sites have height barriers, it is an indication of the prevailing mindset that have a tendency to force motorhomes into "Flying Dutchman" mode rather than perceiving the need and pondering how to meet it.

The Cliff top car park at Cromer has height barriers which are open during the time the car park is open ,

Because of those who have no respect for others they are closed out side those hours   ,that being the main reason more height barriers  are being installed at carpark entrances and as Ruffs posted bollards on grass verges ,

Most of our open spaces in this area now have ditches to discourage use by such people

I so long for the days where all those who go overseas, however they do it, and where those driven by desperation to try camping of any kind will be able to head off this island again. Leaving those who love it here a bit more peace and tranquillity...............t’aint going to happen this year though, it will be sharpen elbows, mask up and in we go......😂

It’s predicted that sea levels in the South of England will rise in 2022.

Its nothing to do with global warming but the sheer weight of all the caravans, MHs and trailers that will be parked up at the ports causing a tilt in their desperate rush to find somewhere peaceful!

Apparently there is a geological theory, all the folk from the West coast amassing on the East coast leading to-‘Sentient Heave Initiable Tilt’. First expounded by Professor Freud Ian Sleepe. Strange but true🤷🏻‍♂️👍🏻

Think I experienced ‘Sentient Heave’ in the Bay of Biscay.

I've always been of the mindset that it's my choice to drive a larger than average vehicle and I don't expect others to make provision for my personal choices. If height barriers are in place it's for a reason so I go elsewhere. Strange, I know, but I see it as my problem and not one other people need to solve for me. 🤷‍♂️

You could be one of the very few ,L/V owners who seem to understand what is involved with ownership  ,rather than what seems the majority,   it is others responsibility to cater for my choice?,and cannot see that in the real world things are not that easy or simple

Thankyou, it’s good to know I’m not the only amateur geologist on CT. it gives folk an insight into my nickname👍🏻
