I am curious DD. What prompted you to share this with everyone?

It’s sort of the forum equivalent of a nothing story the gutter press might get hold of, third hand nonsense where one party is held entirely to blame but has no recourse to defending themselves publicly🤷‍♀️ Of little value to most folks, but gives a degree of gratification to anyone not particularly fond of the institution whose staff are being publicly hung, drawn and quartered, perhaps…..🤷‍♀️🤔

On Motorhome Fun there are rules, including "do not post defammatory comments."

Yes, but you can ignore them if you sponsor the site or are one of Jim’s mates.

It's only defamation if untrue 😉.

+1, this is precisely my argument against-‘you shouldn’t say that’ because if I’m being mendacious I agree I shouldn’t say that. If I base everything on fact then yes I can say what I want because no one would take me to court because they’d lose👍🏻

In my my experience of club sites  stretching back to the late 1970s I have  mostly come across wardens  happy in thier work and very pleasant helpful to the customers. However I have met one or two who should never be allowed in a customer facing role.  Call me naive but I think if someone is unhappy enough  with thier treatment  by club officers to post  a report  like the one we are considering there has to be more than a little truth in it and it shouldn't be dismissed out of hand by the clubs regular  defenders with "are but wot about the other side to the story"

I don’t think many are dismissing it out of hand, but it is just one side of the story. However, to criticise in such a way, as a first instance, is totally wrong. The wardens have no right of reply as it would almost certainly be against their terms of employment. If after going through the formal complaints procedure the motorhome fun poster was still not satisfied, they could then take to social media and give both there account, plus the CAMC’s response to the complaint.

Having just read this I will stick yo my philosophy....don't believe what you hear and only half believe what you see. It would be shameful if such an attitude was used.

Earlier this year a post on here I think by JK? was saying that there was plenty of new recruits this year,

It did last long even though,   I understand they all are given some site experience. before signing up for employment,

And the drop out after a few months is quite high,

As we have seen over the years ,and it has got worse, the Rose tinted specs of new recruits is a far different experience. when facing the  public from inside the club ,,and as we have been told recently a lot of new members join on line with little or no idea ,of any rules or etiquette. that goes with membership

I think you might be painting a rather niaive view of potential recruits JV. The job description and terms and conditions are fairly comprehensive, and cover most working requirements, expectations, etc….

The drop out rate might be because it’s currently very much an employee’s market, lots of different jobs, lots of home working now available, and many firms have had to up their game in terms of recruitment.

A few might simply find it easier to walk away and find something else if the abuse and attitude of some customers warrants it. Staff need good training, supportive managers if they aren’t to get stressed working for the public. That’s why you see so many workplace signs saying “we will not tolerate anyone abusing our staff”. Anywhere that has certain rules (and let’s face it, the Club really does have a lot of rules) will get hassle all the time from those who think such rules don’t apply to them, and that’s when problems arise. Not to mention super attentive visitors, happy to report or comment on any other persons perceived misdemeanours😎
