following on from the early arrival story, which I completely agree with if it says 1pm then it should be 1pm. To add to thus we arrived at the required time at Castleton to find 2 units already their booking in, when we finally were let in there was a caravan outfit behind us didn’t take a great deal of notice until we arrived at the service pitches of which there are 8 ish in on separate area and found a women stood on a pitch saving it for the outfit behind us. Total cheek and disrespect for not only the rules but also fellow members

To you but to others I would be surprised if it wasn't.

You’d be surprised if it wasn’t opinion to others or if it wasn’t logical? Let me be the first to surprise you in either case😂😂

No matter, I shall carry on as I always have ever since I have owned a motorhome.

While the thread still exists I'll introduce a further scenario of the driver who can only reverse onto a pitch on their right, who having chosen an empty pitch has to drive on somewhere and do a loop to approach the chosen spot from the opposite direction.  Should they deposit a partner, cable, table or "Motorcaravan using this pitch" sign?

Not quite the same thing PD 🤔. At least you have attended the pitch.

So do you reverse the Motorhome onto the pitch put the Motorhome using this pitch sign on the pitch then drive off to fill up and cause more congestion with all the arriving vehicles.
I would think it makes more sense to pay, at least the Motorhome is actually on site and then let other half take the sign and put it up.
