following on from the early arrival story, which I completely agree with if it says 1pm then it should be 1pm. To add to thus we arrived at the required time at Castleton to find 2 units already their booking in, when we finally were let in there was a caravan outfit behind us didn’t take a great deal of notice until we arrived at the service pitches of which there are 8 ish in on separate area and found a women stood on a pitch saving it for the outfit behind us. Total cheek and disrespect for not only the rules but also fellow members

Micky ot matters not where good service takes place it's really quite simple either you take your business where its valued and you are treated as a customer or you buy into the "club ethos"  and membership where you are in fact still a customer but sometimes if we are to believe this forum treated very differently. The idea of a site owner telling customers to go away and come back in 30 mins is ridiculous beyond belief and not something I have encountered in 40 years.

but sometimes if we are to believe this forum treated very differentlyre.

That sounds as if you don't believe what is posted by that? I'm not sure who this 'we' is but it must include you by definition of the word  which is puzzling David as you post recently that you always think that most posters are honest?

Apart from that why you keep bringing in comparisons with abroad sites in the UK section and threads at every possible opportunity and no matter how tenuous in puzzling at best and
ad nauseam at worst. Especially as you state you haven't used club sites very much in the past (it was a few days a year other than last year) and say you won't be using them in the future?

As to being asked to leave if arriving early it is not ridiculous to my view and will be happening.

Club cannot be seen to show any preferential treatment for individual Members, beyond looking after any special requirements. It just has too many Members to do that. Comparing a multi Site business with a single Site isn’t a valid comparisons. We have had pitches saved, early get ons, late leaving on dozens of little family run sites and CLs down the years.

And when the wardens are the same, the head ones usually stay for a few years, they do greet us as 'friends' especially on on frequent flyer sites that we use a number of times in any one year. It happened this year on our first visit to TB this April, meeting one walking around the site she straight away asked us which mountains we would be doing this time.
