Pitch Prices

I was thinking we might like to go to Oban, or nearby (we've been before), as there's a good off-road cycle track, which you can extend by catching the Corran Ferry and a quiet road on the other side.  There are two Club sites in the area, one at Onich and another at Barcaldine which are suitable.  I compared prices for 2 adults, 5 nights from 16th April, hardstanding with ehu: C&MHC Bunree £191; C&CC (with age concession) £107.

I wonder which one I should choose?

I think I might choose a CL instead, it would be the one at Port Appin. smile

I'm not sure why you're asking us? It's totally your choice, just choose the one that gives you what you want in terms of VFM and quality?

What's the comparison without the age concession? Might be helpful to someone who is still working.

I suppose it depends on what price you put on a view, which of course from Bunree is wonderful? It's also an easy walk to the ferry. £38 seems par for the course these days and compares pretty much with some of the commercial sites we have used recently.

I guess with the 2 sites mentioned it also depends if you want to be cloistered in a walled in space or on the coast with glorious views.

North Ledaig would be my choice as it has, in my opinion, even better views and, unlike the other two sites, is virtually midge free.

I never went to a hotel, or restaurant , or caravan site, just because they were the cheapest in the area.

Bunree is 35 miles from Oban, so that’s a 70 mile round trip on a cycle. It’s not far off an hours drive each way.

All depends what you want to do and see. North Ledaig is very nice, another option. We use our MH for touring, so we might stay at any of the options rather than just the one, including CLs😁

You can still be working & get the age concession with the other club .... not everyone retired at 60 with a gold plated final salary pension.
