Pitch etiquette

just on Clumber Park site for the weekend, can’t believe the lack of respect for people’s privacy. The worst site we have been on for people short cutting straight across pitches because they are too bone idle to walk the proper way round, passing right by the windows without a thought for respect or privacy. One guy even doing it 3 times on the trot, yes you fetching your gas bottle!!

Try fishing line. Hard to see, a swine to untangle. Mind it doesn’t get you though!😂

I see you've been reading a similar thread, sa64. I'm not sure anything can be added to the comments there.

It's not likely your 'gas man' will see this. Speak to him - he’s not gifted with manners or mind reading.

Yes it is amazing that some people think this is acceptable. I Agree with TW, just come out smile and say hello, I wonder if you wouldn't come across our pitch? That usually works, and if it doesn't then really nothing will, I mean you could see the warden, and I would personally if I was staying longer.

We found the same at Clumber when the weekend arrived, the site was full and people just walked on our pitch and past our windows into the woods, we also had some on bikes. we would have wasted our time having to ask people to desist, there were too many. I think the gaps in the perimeter fence were too tempting. Don't know if this has been fixed? Lovely surroundings but not a site we'd rush back too.

Are we talking about walking on the grass between pitches? Some water points & bins are only accessible by walking on these grass fingers.

No, I don't think so MM

I've stepped outside to point out that I paid for exclusive use of my pitch so, unless they want to share the cost, would they not walk across it.

The 'best' case I've seen was somebody driving across a pitch at Lady Margaret' Park because he couldn't be arsed to drive around the right way off the grass pitches.
