The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

I think as we are finding ,that with the occupancy levels as they are at this time even with the prices we  chunter about,   more large ,investment by the clubs "experiance freedom" arm is not going to happen soon

Even site staff are still being restricted with their concessions on site stays, and that was I understand been reiterated for this time of year,in an email last weeksmile

If as quite a few have posted ,it will be interesting to see if the USP of this club ,is going to be affected in the membership, when  and if a reduction in the  covid.  influence will be used if sites and membership declinessurprised

Just one correction jv. Your second paragraph only applies to retired staff.

Cheap food,? cheap wine,? cheap hotels,? cheap campsites?  No way. Quality governs choice every time for me.

As we are looking to make some bookings, outside of this  Club, for next year, we are finding that there is probably no such thing as a cheap campsite these days, only less expensive ones!

That does not necessarily mean one has to compromise on quality if you choose carefully.

Lots of changes ahead jv, not only the new booking system. That's not to be discussed here. Long overdues in my opinion.

The only thing that worries me about the New Booking System and the posts on here is that a lot more people are expressing an intention to use CLs more next year. laughing

Now, this is a good thing for keeping CLs going but making bookings on them may become harder for us regulars.yellsmile

Indeed☹️ We were very surprised last year to find some of our very basic (but nice) regular stop offs a lot busier than usual. Mind at £8 a night, you can’t blame folks for giving them a go and enjoying the tranquillity. There does seem to be a lot more new CLs coming along, but some are between the £20-£30 mark. Lots of choice out there.

Is it all part of a "Baldrick cunning plan"? Reduce pitch occupancy by less attractive amended T&C plus pricing and use the result to justify swapping pitches for pods to improve cash return on sites.

Actually that's not a bad thing, I personally know of two Norfolk ex Cls that have gone down that route (camping pods/huts) & they are thriving.

Another touring site  in the same area as 3 separated 5 van sites CMC, C&CC & a local tourist board registered site on their several acre paddocks.
