The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

Download site plan, its pitch 5, pitch 46 is the same but theres a hedge, you would still have the smell.

Teesdale Barnard Castle, pitch 21, it is well screened these days according to Google Earth.

My nose may not be that sensitive these days, and I was a "country boy" back in the mists of time, but I can honestly say that I have never sensed an unpleasant whiff from a CAMC CDP in the last 20+ years.

Some CLs can be a different matter!

Lucky enough not on any pitches I've been on in the 40 yrs I've been caravaning and I would still avoid pitching next to the ccep

What would you then do it that was the only pitch left available when you arrived in site?

Not full  but at a rough guess 75%-80% . I don't do full sites so have no idea about high season practices . I am not suggesting club sites adopt it  but just saying it can and does work and without being limited to specific arrival days..

Our New Year commercial site at Henley has such a system, it's adjacent to Four Oaks, which hasn't😉

....we know where we want to be and have booked a serviced pitch alongside our pals...it's not that difficult.

Weve booked a mixed surface site at Black Knowl for June...if the new system is in and everyone has booked HS, well obviously be left with the grass.

Shouldnt be a problem in June but this shows what might happen during the crossover....

But as you know this club does not and in the future will not unless you have a problem that any member of your party  need to be near the facilities do not save pitches cool

Wonderful though those sites are and it doesn't have to be a Saturday  to Saturday for example reservation  they ain't going to keep the pitch vacant for a year. Tell them you are coming on say a Thursday and arrive on Wednesday  there is likely  to be someone else in it for that day. Is that clear?wink

We have booked for Xmas and new year 2022/23 and I also know a  HS pitch will be available when we arrive on our booked arrival day cool

So apart from a certain pitch off peak when you use sites overseas it is not so different and if your pitch has  deteriorated  in the 12 months being off peak there will be ample satisfactory others to chose fromcool

Never say never.  we have to have something and somewhere to look forward to

It looks as if this Christmas and New Year trip  this year is in jeopardy as OH  may? get her next Nhs appointments, and we definitely do not want to change themfrown

The last consultants we saw thinks he has identified what may well be OHs problem after having a look at some MRI scans she had Two years ago, undecided  and says her problem, he thinks it is not curable but can be managed ,but needs the expertise of the Neurology  department experts surprised
