The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

I would have thought you wardens would also want to discourage cash as it creates more work by having to bank it. There is also the security aspect as well.

It is also not good COVID practice. Most establishment are discuouraging cash usage with some stating cards only will be accepted..

I am not sure it should be an option. How will people pay a deposit, not by cash or vouchers? OK  I accept that vouchers are a different matter but giving people the option to pay (by any other means other than vouchers) will encourage them to do so. Surely one of the main points of the new system is to speed things up? I would have thought you wardens would also want to discourage cash as it creates more work by  having to bank it. I paying by cash is not an option, that would be one more reason for me not to use this clubs sites.

Me too. If we are moving towards a pay deposit upfront and option to pay balance the night before then one of the benefits has to be speedier checking in.

Allowing cash in the office will soon slow things back up...

With the ccc  system of taking the arrival to the pitch ,I would expect  the pitch number to to be relayed to the office ,if they have security barriers ,the arrival still has to go and fetch a numbered barrier card/fob to get in and out ,,also site info,I have yet to be given such when shown to a pitch

On the C&CC sites I've visited, they have push button codes for barriers and facilities block. No fobs required, just a code. Given that the majority of CAMC sites are in the back of beyond, keys/fobs for facilities block seems a bit obsessive.

I agree and as posted before unless the site has problems with off site people using the facilities,   i do not remember any of this clubs facilities having any sort of  locks

Although it seems you will be able to pay the balance on arrival, either by cash or card, that won’t be an option for the deposit. If the club truly wants to make things easier and flow more smoothly for members all payments should be electronic and preferably before arrival. Any future vouchers on offer should be of the e variety with a code that can be entered on the payment screen. We are after all almost a quarter of the way through the 21st century.๐Ÿ˜‚

Agree entirely with your post DK...Vouchers and cash are a thing of the past and the club should move forward and discourage the use of ....

Aside...Just a point re the previous ANP posts...Cayton Village had ANP plus prepayment (except for casual arrivals) for quite a few years before the club purchased the site...
