The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

God forbid someone finds a way to minimise the cost why not put a whipping post outside reception and give them a good flogging

The last thing we need is more admin fees and fines.

That wasn't my point was it? There is a loop hole in the proposed system and I'd be interested to hear if it can be closed eg by admin charges.

Why would you want it closed I don't think many members would use it and what harm will it do you, there's enough change happening as it is why look for more.

 Afternoon

I've mentioned before on this thread about valuable feedback. I reckon that loophole has been noted alreadywink

Feedback eh JK😉

I read about the loophole elsewhere, and was rather surprised at the potential deposit difference when I did that dummy booking. It will differ from Site to Site, and at different times of the year. It’s something the Club might have to monitor, either that, or make the deposit something like 50% of the pitch fee, which is the stable cost regardless of however many are using the pitch. 🤔

I wonder if the loophole with the present system is still available in the new system where you just have to alter your booking forward to overcome the 72 hr cancellation period ,will the same be possible with the 21day period

I'm sure the Club will be very happy that this thread is doing the work that it is unable to do itself, by the members fine tuning the booking system and closing all loopholes. Unpaid voluntary work👍

If they had "tested the water properly" before going how they have ,with the USP the club have thrown away.   ,and now do not have much if any,  of a lead over the other site operators ,

As others have said  if the excuse. now given (although not in the past when questioned) the high number of short notice cancellations? And had extended  the 72hrs to the 21days with the present booking system? Why need to give away the clubs USP?
