It would be great to have feedback on the caravan sites and how the safety measures are working. We will be watching for the next two weeks to see how safe the sites are before we decide to start touring again.  Maybe a lot of people will put reviews on individual caravan sites.

This thread is specifically and solely for members currently visiting sites to offer useful feedback.

Please keep your posts on the topic of "caravan sites opening and safety measures on sites" only.

Thank you.

I have read these posts over the years that regularly come up, they suggest LV’ers are generally disruptive, untrustworthy vandals with an infantile streak🤷🏻‍♂️.

Some are only in their early teens, give 'em a break

How would they do that? Is  a key not needed.

Certainly not the one at Baltic Wharf, which I opened when my elderly mother collapsed in it. Just a screw driver required. Or in my case a car key.

Not to open individual cubicles David. There is usually a small slot in the middle of the disk that shows whether vacant or engaged. In fact at Ferry Meadows last year a less able chap had somehow got into a position where he couldn't access the door mechanism and was effectively stuck. He asked for help as I walked into the block. I think that it was probably a sixpence piece that I used to unlock it for him.

That’s exactly how it should work TDA, number of bands = number of people allowed in at anyone time.  I’m sure some don’t ‘obey’ though just like some don’t follow social distancing etc etc but most will.

Site here is almost full with only a couple of empty pitches and have seen very few doing the morning ‘run to the block in your dressing gown’.

Terrible weather so it feels just like normal here and our evening entertainment was watching the guy opposite trying to light his bbq in a gale - it kept blowing over.  I didn’t realise how much I missed camping until then.wink
