Hi everyone,

Looking to book for 2019? Right now, you can book up to and including 31 March 2019. We've changed the way we put UK Club site pitches on sale so you can now book up to a year ahead, all year round. All you need to remember is whichever month we are in, you can book up to and including the same month next year. Find out more: Improving your Club experience and on our FAQs.

I take the opposite view, many on here think that the CAMC ways  are the ultimate and nothing that others do come anyway near the long held ways of the CAMC. So the question is how do they come to terms with the obvious acceptance by the CAMC management that there can be  lessons to be learned. What will be next -  copying the C&CC with escorted pitching and  industrial sized waste bins emptied by contractors?

Erm, they already do industrial sized waste bins emptied by contractors, but they are tidily camouflaged so as to not offend visiting members.....laughing

(Please excuse my huge smile, I have a booking on Rowntree Park for my birthday next year, and am so enjoying the thought still. It might of course flood, but at the moment that unknown pitch, that frisson of an unknown adventure, lingers with me still!wink)

Chatsworth seems to be fully booked in 2019 for all but the last  2 weeks of March. I assume it is a glitch?

How many are actually anti the change? From what I see most people are pretty much take it or leave it and that includes me. I’m happy if it helps some as it seems this is what they want. It won't make any difference to me as I only book a few weeks in advance, sometimes much less.

I now notice there are no prices for the period 4/1/19 to 14/3/19. So perhaps the site is closed for work to be carried out. Although it says open all year.🤔

Steve, if i remember correctly, isn't 4th January the changeover date on the old system (I've been caught on this before in trying to book a full week at new year......) and it may be that 'someone' just hasn't got round to adding the new system dates through to March as on other sites....?

....I haven't checked them all (why would I?) but there may be a few others missing or just this one....I'm sure Ro will check it out....smile

I had no problem booking York & Chester for January/February visits but Chatsworth must not have been updated for some reason or is it closing for work to be done?

The change was announced on page 3 March magazine by the Editor with operative date to come later.

I did not think I would find it a better system but I do.

We rarely book anywhere more than a few days in advance (especially as we are retired and can come and go as we please)  but if it gives working parents etc the option to book busy periods eg sch hols then it has to be good. Is the next step the availability to book hard standings? Personally, I don't want them...until it is wet!

While trying to find out whether there is planned work at Chatsworth I found more information about the change to the booking system under Membership/improving your club.
