Hi everyone,

Looking to book for 2019? Right now, you can book up to and including 31 March 2019. We've changed the way we put UK Club site pitches on sale so you can now book up to a year ahead, all year round. All you need to remember is whichever month we are in, you can book up to and including the same month next year. Find out more: Improving your Club experience and on our FAQs.

I despair!  As someone who rarely books more than a week in advance , and doesn't know what he's doing tomorrow, the idea of booking a year in advance is definitely not for me.

I can't understand why this hasn't reached 250 posts already - has no one read about the change in the booking system?  Usually plenty of people dive in to say 'Leave things as they are, it's all fine' - so where are the whoops and hollers from those who wanted the booking system changed?

Personally it will make no difference to me as we only book weeks ahead rather than months. The disappointment to me is that the change in the booking system didn't encompass a wider change like the ability to book a hardstanding or any other surface. An opportunity missed in my book. It will be interesting to see how many people make use of the facility.

Well I, for one, think it will be an improvement, Val, not that we'll make much use of it. But for the one annual event where we would like a specific site for the early May Bank Holiday, I know I won't be competing against folk who are also trying to book Easter, July/August, October half term etc which would have been the case on the old frenzy day.

Mind you that's still no guarantee that we'll actually succeed! smile

It’s not actually compulsory to book a year in advance, GW. smile

Like you and others have said, it’ll make no difference to me but what a joy it will be not to hear the moans about frenzy day. laughing

 Don't despair & don't book then 😞

I take the opposite view, many on here think that the CAMC ways  are the ultimate and nothing that others do come anyway near the long held ways of the CAMC. So the question is how do they come to terms with the obvious acceptance by the CAMC management that there can be  lessons to be learned. What will be next -  copying the C&CC with escorted pitching and  industrial sized waste bins emptied by contractors?

Personally I think it’s a good idea and I’m in favour. It’s got rid of frenzy day, you can book up to a year ahead, which will suit some people with children, work, family, commitments etc. And if some people aren’t happy they can still just wait until Dec 5th and book then 😂
