I am Blue Badge Registered Disabled and struggling to get a hard standing pitch since they have changed booking procedures to Standard Pitch on some sites where there used to be a choice.

You need to ring the warden and ask for what you need.

It has already been explained that the booking system has not changed.

Not sure where you get the idea that choice of pitch has changed?

My OH now has mobility problems no blue badge needed yet? ,and have found a call to the site will get a pitch as near as possilbe to facilities ,so i would think the same would apply if a hardstand is reqiured

Keep trying maybe, leave a message, complain to HQ.....

Have you tried the "live chat" system on here? They may be able to help.

Does the site not put on an answering machine when they are busy?

OH left a message on one we were going to when they said they would ring back, but we heard nothing.  Left it a couple of days then rang again at a time we reckoned they might be in the office and got through.  They had got her message and would set aside a pitch.  They did not say why they had not rung back.

I would try first thing, 9am, or just before the earliest arrival time, or early afternoon.

We did try first thing. Got a call back to be told they could not help, but advised to turn up for twelve o clock for a better chance.

If get grass pitch they would try and let us change next day.

when you have a heart condition and other pre existing changing pitches can become stressful causing angina attack. Brilliant Eh.

That does not sound like the normal helpful club warden response, which site is this?    OH has  never had a problem with requesting a pitch close to the disabled facilities.

What happens in her case is that a warden will go out on the day of our arrival and put a cone or other marker on the pitch that best matches your request.  Sometimes they do it further ahead, depends how busy the site is.

You are free to select a different pitch if you prefer.

I sympathise with your situation, but it would seem the current club processes and procedures do not suit your needs. Maybe think about booking the pitch that suits your needs at a site that allows it and take the added stress out of your situation.

Good luck with your future trips.
