Bladon Chains - another lost site?

What is going on? A planning application has been submitted for the demolition of the Club's site and for the erection of lodges to take its place!.

Check it out >here< on the West Oxfordshire Council site. Anyone got anymore information, does that mean the end of a site for Blenheim Palace and Woodstock or is the reason for the popup site?

I think the authorities made their choice a good while ago peedee and I don't think that will change anytime soon.

Anyone who owns or works at anywhere that has provision for LV parking and has experienced "disruption" would heartily agree.

(been there done that!!)

Not all JK. Quite a few are now welcoming motorhomes and there is hope that will increase. Cantebury Aire has now been in operation some years and has not had any problems, in fact the council want to build a second in conjunction with an expanded park and ride.

We weekended in Cornwall for several years when we lived just across the river but it sure wasn’t on club sites. Instead, a delightful privately owned site allowed us to store the van there, arrive when we wanted, leave when we wanted and pay on the way out. All for around 50% of club site fees.

However, Bladon Chains..... I much preferred Burford but it's a shame to see any site go.

You're not getting confused with the new lorry parks being set up in Kent by any chance?

I'm not sure that the majority of MH'ers do want a just "dump & fill". Occasionally, possibly but generally it's a "no frills" for a night or two at a sensible price.

I very much doubt that he is confused as I read of the possibility of extending the provisions at Canterbury P&R 'aire'

I suspect that you are correct. I doubt that many thought that those that use sites with that facility to dump waste and fill water would require it. A number posting on here have bemoaned however the lack of such a dump and fill facility being made available.
